Solar's Colors is essentially a love leter to the queer people she spends time around. She risked a hit to her career to employ and platform real queer people and idk i think it's so important to support this degree of allyship. Also, the song is a banger!
That’s it. A celebration of diversity. We all know entertainment and of course Kpop too is full of queer people, but it’s always pretending it isn’t. She brought them to the forefront

The courage she had to release this instead of a “trending” type song, knowing she’d gain little to nothing from it. And even working so closely with an actual ballroom house to learn voguing and giving them so much screentime in the video. She truly cares about her craft yall, she’s a true artist! 👏👏👏

The thing that makes this even more amazing for me is-this girl isn't known for her dancing-her strongest skill is her singing, but, look at her, she isn't afraid of branching out and doing new things. She challenged herself to try out something new while also showing the people who are actually good at it and are a 'part' of it.
She tried something new and gave justice!!!

mamamoo is one of the only few groups i know who allow their dancers to have personality on stage, usually it always feels like they are too careful not to let the dancers outshine the idols, but mamamoo don’t need that, they shine so much on stage that having wonderful dancers slay with them just makes their stage more enjoyable, and this- this is top notch and groundbreaking in the kpop industry 😍 i love you solar, always proud of you ❤️

i noticed there are two sets of costumes for the back up dancers, one with only black or white and the other set is different colors and styles of their own choice. I love the creative freedom they have given to the dancers about those outfits compared to other kpop acts to whom the idol should stand out. With Solar's Colors, it is amazing that no one is over shadowing someone. The idol and the dancers highlighted each other equally. This speaks about Solar's intention of them chosen as her dancers. It is just so amazing.
