My own opinion: First, Popularity and achievements are from their fans. You streamed their songs multiple times, watched their mvs and buy their albums. Meanwhile, we don't care about any of that. Yes, we do care about our faves achievements and we do try to make them win by voting but not to the point that we're going to waste our time watching the same my for an hour or so. They don't force us too. They remind us that we have a life aside from them. Second, recognition is also based on popularity. My faves get recognised because of their talents. Their vocals, their sense of style, their versatile acting, their dance styles. They have a life beside shitloads of comebacks and our faves can stand alone without the help of their members. For example: EXO Baekhyun could be BYUN BAEKHYUN as a soloist, as an actor, a luxury brand ambassador. And I'm proud to say that this is what EXO taught us. We didn't have so many views in an my bcs they always remind us that we should focus on ourselves first or study first than watching their ig lives, them who always tell us to buy foods instead of alburns, and most especially having their own unique talent in their solo activities with us making us all proud as EXO-LS

My own opinion:
First, Popularity and achievements are from their fans. You streamed their songs multiple times, watched their mvs and buy their albums. Meanwhile, we don't care about any of that. Yes, we do care about our faves achievements and we do try to make them win by voting but not to the point that we're going to waste our time watching the same my for an hour or so. They don't force us too. They remind us that we have a life aside from them.
Second, recognition is also based on popularity. My faves get recognised because of their talents. Their vocals, their sense of style, their versatile acting, their dance styles. They have a life beside shitloads of comebacks and our faves can stand alone without the help of their members. For example: EXO Baekhyun could be BYUN BAEKHYUN as a soloist, as an actor, a luxury brand ambassador.
And I'm proud to say that this is what EXO taught us. We didn't have so many views in an my bcs they always remind us that we should focus on ourselves first or study first than watching their ig lives, them who always tell us to buy foods instead of alburns, and most especially having their own unique talent in their solo activities with us making us all proud as EXO-LS
CAN PEOPLE STOP MENTIONING LAY WITH LUHAN? I have nothing against luhan, but people keep saying that Lay's voice sounds like Luhan! I can't believe people are saying that they want luhan to sing it instead of lay. Not only I think Lay has a very unique voice that is different from Luhan's (Maybe only real fans could tell), but it's just wrong to mention ex members everywhere. Lay being the only chinese member left is not recieving the respect he deserves. If you ACTUALLY miss Luhan he has so many solo promotions even a non fan know about, I know people are sad that kris tao and luhan left but we're supposed to be happy about exo's comeback and excited about the members but everyone's talking about the ex members instead of people who stayed with exo...
