Copycat McDonald's Mambo Sauce Recipe

McDonald's new Mambo Sauce was only available for a limited time and now it's gone. What do you do if you love it and want more?
Let's taste test some alternatives to see which one makes a good Mambo Sauce substitute, including a store-bought Mambo Sauce (supposedly the original!) as well as my own copycat Mambo Sauce recipe.
CAPITAL CITY MAMBO SAUCE:

-- Combo Pack: 1 MILD, 1 SWEET-HOT amzn.to/47zAOWO
CHICA'S MAMBO SAUCE RECIPE:
Ingredients:
-- 1 cup ketchup
-- 3/4 cup white sugar
-- 1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
-- 1/2 cup white vinegar
-- 1 tsp soy sauce
-- 1/2 tsp onion powder
-- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
-- 1/2 cup water
-- 2 tsp cornstarch
Directions:
-- Mix all ingredients except water and cornstarch in a small pan
-- Bring to a simmer over medium heat
-- Stir water and cornstarch in a small bowl, then pour into sauce
-- Boil until thickened and slightly translucent

Soy sauce is a traditional addition to the DC mambo/mumbo sauces. Capital City does list soy sauce among its ingredients.

Why did you even use the fries if you were just gonna suck the sauce off them? You could have just used a spoon.

The salt on the fries affects the taste of the sauce but I didn’t want to be chewing while talking to you so I didn’t eat them 😀
