SSooooooooooooooo agree with you. I've never in my life experienced a ride like what Cadillac has created in the cts-v. Though I've never been behind the wheel of the wagon, the lighter sedan is just.....an experience. An amazing experience.

@jpap967 Well said. I just purchased one of these in the Black Raven paint. The warranty the they give you from the factory is a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty, 100,000 mile power train warranty, and premium maintenance that includes oil changes, brakes, and all regular maintenance. This is all included in the price of the car. These are not add ons. When a warranty is that good, that actually means its not junk. For a car that would break down alot, it would be too pricey for a company to offer.

Give Cadillac so credit, mayne.Name 10 cars off the top of your head with a 0 - 60 time under 4 secs. I know it's hard to believe but America is an automotive contender now. Now our muscle cars can make turns without spinning out. :D !! U-S-A!!!

Max respect to the resurgence of Cadillac and its image, the car of mobsters, businessmen, pimps, superstar athletes, rock and rapstars is back. Hell even the president rolls in a caddy that can stop a .50 cal round at point black range. It doesnt get much more badass than rolling in a Caddy. A true man's car.
According to JD Power and Associates Caddy matches or beats the Germans in multiple quality tests and customer satifaction surveys. Give some credit where it's due people.

This car has 2 strong points: 1) It's looks 2) It's mighty engine. It's weakness, 1) Plasticy interior not befitting its high-end market position. 2) Poor gear box. That's that many reviews have commonly mentioned so this unusually glowing review is surprising. Dont' get me wrong, I want one !!!!!

Are you really going to trust consumer reports who sell their opinions to the highest bidder? There a joke. Not many production cars out there at all that have 4 seats, can comfortably fit 4 grown adults. AND can go 190 miles an hour. These cars are beasts, in any form, coupe, sedan,or wagon. Anyone who doesn't think so has never driven one....and hate it because it's not German. Stop bashing America guys...even with all its faults it's still about the best place in the world to live....

@ryanmg1 FTR, They actually labeled the Camaro and Mustang as Recommended Vehicles. It's the Challenger they were harsh about because people who own them (and are subscribed to consumer reports) answered the survey about their challengers leading CR to say that the dodge challenger is kinda one of the last vehicles you'd want to own but that depends on your finances.

  • @boston7704

I struggle to understand "unreliable" - I put 6000 miles in the first three months driving it in NYC and NJ. Not a whimper in 100+ degree heat and bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Gas mileage isn't bad on the highway, swills around town. What precisely would you expect with 6.2L and 4300 lbs? Keep your foot out of it, and it's fine. Boot it, and watch the guage sink. Quickly.
The GM reliability issues are long gone - we've had three GMs in the last 10 years and ALL have been outstanding.

@NACERBALLIN A CTS-V also gets a basic coverage 4 year 50,000 mile warranty. It also gets a 5 year 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty and roadside assistance. I'm still not seeing the problem here? My mother has a CTS, she put 70,000 miles on it in 2 years and it has never had a single problem.

The sad fact is GM has had reliability issues with the electronic components of all their cars. Cadillac is no different. The main computer displays go out, the power door locks quit working, etc. That still does not change my opinion of this car. I WANT ONE! I have a 2001 Pontiac TransAm and would love to have this in the garage next to my T/A!

@rioross That's all Consumer Reports' car reviews are. This video aside, they're written by non-enthusiasts for grandmothers who only care about how much car repairs run... and no matter what the test results, they just recommend the Honda Civic anyway. Car repairs... resale value... that's it. And if the car's foreign, it gets bonus points (but they're not the only magazine that does that one).

I'm with you on the looks. The sedan looks so much more thought out. The high back on the coupe just doesn't look good in my humble opinion. As far as burning a Farrari, uummmmm....can't say that it won't. but what I CAN say is that I drove my friend's cts-v sedan and it felt a bit faster than the Gallardo he rented for a "just to do something" weekend...(must be nice). Then again, I WAS in the passenger seat of the Gallardo and not at the wheel. MONSTER vehicles though.

  • @_Tommmmmm_

@1212goose True. But you have to figure that if these people buy a Cadillac and just happen to be that person that does get a problem, they will pounce all over Cadillac's saying how bad they are. It's like someone going somewhere for the first time and having a bad experience when tons of other people have a had a good one, so they decide to tell everyone they know that the place they went to sucks. People don't factor in probability of something happening.

something these videos dont cover is the creaky recaros, and the center console my only complaint. Opt for the leather wheel instead, alcantara doesnt wear well. The good add full boltons, tune for +80hp/tq and still get 12mpg city everyday driving like stock.

@twoface696 Not true, GM and Ford have both stepped it up quite a bit over the past few years. They use to have a history but not anymore. There both making phenomenal cars. They just don't really point in the direction of making numerious sports performance cars. The closest they normally come is muscle cars, and lets face it, they've always done it the best.

@Janusha The Caddy's ring times are real. BMW is going the route of most automakers, using your best engines across model line. The Twin turbo V8 will be their bread and butter for years to come, mainly because of CAFE standards. It makes good business sense. The GM LS V8 is a bulletproof, reliable, and powerful engine and will continue to be used in direct injected form. Why shelve it for an expensive replacement? What is your point other than advocating bad business decisions?
