he gave her wedding flowers in this ep, blew her a kiss in slam bam birthday bash, kissed her in order to help her gain her memories (rebooted show), and in love letter he ignored ringring's love letter but was considering pucca's love letter and spent the end of the episode beside her meaning he likes her. i understand if you dislike it or you think it's odd/weird/wtv but don't go around making claims that everybody knows aren't true :P

Pucca's outburst reminded me of both Storm from the xmen and Akira from....well, Akira.
As a kid, I grew to love this show, and I had very tense emotions about this episode. Like, my heart was hurting, my brain is confused, I nearly cried, because I really thought Garu loves RingRing more then Pucca. While watching this as a kid my hatred for RingRing were very intense.
As a child I really did had a crush, and fell in love for 3 years till 5th grade.
So, imagining my crush in love with someone else really did hurt, so I felt hurt with Pucca.
Back then I would really like to hurt anyone who is RingRing, but now that I have matured and still love romance. I've been learning how a healthy relationship works.
I've been in love with a kid for 3 years, so emotions were confusing , but I learned to love it because I loved THAT feeling. Talking with any of friends, most of them didn't have any crushes or they did but they gotten over it in 2 weeks as a child.
Apparently I have these intense feeling way to early.
Garu does like Pucca! He's just embarrassed, and too embarrassed to admit it.
He never showed any affection towards Pucca. And if this is what love is, count me out.

there's something about the ending (besides me replaying it over and over for the purity of the scene) that makes me so giddy! Honestly, *honestly,* if he wanted to, Garu could have just left her to cry, where Pucca would probably make the choice of picking herself up to chase Garu, or to let him go once and for all. Garu is smart enough to know that the slightest encouragement he gives her makes her want to never stop chasing after him, which, as depicted in the show, is something he is deeply annoyed by, and he usually cheers if she is unable to chase him. So, why encourage her?
I'm seriously behind the theory of "he likes her but is too shy, and too focused on being a ninja to reciprocate."
I'm sure if the series had continued, and they grew older and developed the characters, (I actually wanted this show to become a bit more... serious/plot-based after rewatching it, it had some serious potential), then they would've been able to develop Garu and Pucca's relationship.
If you go to the fanfiction, there's only a few good ones, but I haven't read any that were *amazing.* I'm honestly thinking about writing my own. Although, I was desperate, so I went ahead and read as many as I could, and still am.
It's sad, because in the flash series, Garu is shown to return her feelings more.
i.e. Trying to deliver a rose on her windowsill, trying to make sure she wouldn't get hurt while fighting Tobe, melting his beloved sword to give her a ring, blushing when holding her hand, helping her with her Christmas tree, letting her lay her head on his shoulder while he reads and trying his best not to move.
I think that captures their relationship a bit better, and I like to apply it onto the full series. That Garu does *not* hate Pucca, he simply does not want to show his affection as boldly as she does.

Her emotions, namely the inert happiness she projects is the only thing that keeps Soogo from decimation by the storms she conjures.

+The Fictional Realist I don't have a source or any evidence, sorry, I just noticed it in a few other comments that viewers were watching but I'm sure I heard something from the creators of Pucca when it first aired years ago! If you watch the flash cartoons then you'll notice that Garu shows a lot more affection towards Pucca and even in a few episodes, he shows a little of it also. Don't worry, you're still able to ship Paru/Garucca! I like to think they're together now, now that they're older :')
