Frank Langella made Skeletor a goddamn badass of a villain.
And dolph made he-man one badass hero. Wahey!
Frank Langella gave a brilliant performance.
Although Dolph's acting wasn't great, he was the natural choice for He-Man and he was actually great in the role.
Im curious to know where Kajex called he man gay, I don't think he once stated that
Masterful performance.
Who doesn't give chills this scene, even if you saw it a thousand of times for thirtyfive years?
It brings back the summer of 87!
It genuinely makes me feel four years old again, sitting cross legged in front of TV.
Bro, I get every time and I love coming back to this video weekly!
@OldSchoolCurt I remember it well.
So true real Thats so trillion dollar i watctced it for time again
I was 11 years old and this film, especially this moment, blew me away! I had tears as I was so amped at seeing these characters come to life! Langella's Skeletor is one of the greatest villains of the 80s and I love that he went so hard for this role! Conti's score is truly epic! This moment will always make my heart swell!
Только было ошибкой Скелетора одевать в золотую фольгу.
I don't care what anyone says; this is 50 seconds of the most epic scene in cinema history
Agree
Ever
I love this movie. It has its problems but it’s pure 80s magic. This scene is amazing.
So true! Love coming back to this for the nostalgia
Right with you!!
This scene is so badass! I HAVE THE POOOOWWWWWER!!!
I have to say I watched this film for the first time on Sunday in a long long time and this scene just gave me the chills.
Very underrated film. Frank Langella had just come off of a stint in broadway theater acting before this and was sharp asf. Listen to the conviction he puts into his emoting, saying his dialogue as the character would in that situation. He became Skeletor.
He reportedly did this film as a favor to his then-young son who was a huge MOTU fan
@@DV_Dark_Jedi Yep and he also said that of all the roles he's played, this was his most favorite. It really shows.
The first 20 seconds of this clip is pure goosebumps. What a musical score.
First movie I ever saw in theaters. This moment blew my little mind.
Exactly the same for me!
I greet you children of the 80/90 we are legends
80s LIVES ON FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!
My mum took me to the cinema to see this movie, i was 7 years old and a huge He-Man fan, its one of my favourite childhood memories.
Wow am 38 and I just went on RUclips to see my fav part of the movie from when I was a kid
“Let this be our final battle”; That one line is almost as epic in this movie as “I have the power”.
Символично. Ведь после этого фильма про Химена уже не выпускали мультиков ооочень долго.
I watch the whole movie just for part the sword it gives me g bump
It actually might be more.
To me he is referring to the countless confrontations they’ve had during the run of the cartoon. 😂
A He-Man so badass his sword’s handle makes a cracked whip sound when he grabs it
Such an underated movie i actually liked it when i watched it even though it was slow this moment and others got he man right while adding so cool new moments.
The music in this film is still amazing
Bill Conti. He did the score for Rocky
Bill Conti was everywhere in that era. And I have to say, none of them failed
Watched this in the theater when I was 14 all the kids in the theater cheered at this scene.
This is the He-Man that we want! I came here after the disappointing Masters of the Universe Revelation!
They even used same plot when Skeletor took power sword and became Skelegod 😂
I don't see why everyone hates Revelation so much. I find it quite enjoyable. Mark my words, our children's children are gonna give Revelation the same positivity to we gave to 1987 35 years AFTER it was released. Mark 'em!
Can't believe this film was labelled as a big flop. Awesome film
E.P.I.C. Extremely Powerful Imaginative Childhood
This movie was the bomb! It was fun and entertaining
Dolph was the real he-man powerfull legendary 💪🏻
This was like Star Wars levels of epicness when I was a kid. Maybe even still now 😀
They made do what they had at the time for this movie and they slayed it!
I don't know which "cool kid" sent the memo that I wasn't supposed to like this, but I didn't get it -- because I loved it this all my heart when I was a kid... and I still do.
0:10 Every young boy christmas morning during the 80's! 🗡💀
Such a perfectly cast film. Despite the budgetary and technological restrictions, Gary Goddard made a classic of ‘80s cinema that absolutely stands the test of time. Can’t wait to show this to my kids in a few years 😊
I don't care what anyone says, this movie is actually pretty badass despite some cheesy acting/dialogue here or there... it felt very epic
A legendary classic Sci-fi fantasy action movie that is firmly cemented in every 40-something’s brain from their childhood including mine. Those piercing blue eyes of Meg Foster isnryr one thing I've never forgotten.
I - HAVE - THE POWERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
0:11 I AM ACTIIIIIING!!!!!
M. King he shouts with the fire and strength of an early morning script reading. basically sounds like a yawn
Saw this on VHS when I was 6, and after the movie, my Dad took me to the toystore and bought me that Little Wizard with the magical instrument (supposedly Orko but LOL).
I totally watched my old VHS copy into the ground lol
I remember i saw this as an 8 year old and it made me cry, despite how cheesy many says i do not care! I was so happy! Thank you Dolph Lundgren making every kid's dream come true
My gods, I've got chill bumps all over. This scene is so epic.
Dead serious, langella shouda got an oscar for that role.
No argument here. His dialogue alone in this movie is borderline legendary.
He-man needs to join the avengers
It's the other way around lol
Imposible, is character from Warner Bros maybe with the justice league
Frank Langella is just in a completely different movie entirely and it makes this movie all the better. Also, there's just something cool about the moment when He-Man says "But I will."
Easily in the top 3 movies of my entire childhood.
Why they never made another movie like this?, I saw this movie since I was 11 and it’s still one of the best sci-fi movies, stuck in my head every time I think of the universe and aliens
The answer is easy. The first movie was a major flop that almost ruined cannon films.
Esta escena es más fascinante que todas las películas de Marvel y DC juntas
When I was a kid I couldn't get around Dolph voice but Skeletor left an impression of me but over time watching Dolph acting, I gotten used to his accent. I just watched this movie on Amazon. It was f--kin awesome
Frank Langella = Best part of the movie
when a cartoon became a reality. this was just incredible to watch... i look at todays stuff and it just doesnt capture that
This movie came on TV once a year when I was a kid, and it was like a high holy day for me.
Master of Universe had this on DVD to.😊💖
Seeing this on vhs as a kid doesn’t do this scene justice. Really wish I saw this in the movies
Poor Frank Langella taking it seriously. 😂
That voice skeletor is the man
I was a child and Star Wars was never shown in my house. But this was and it was the single coolest moment ever.
A another version of he man awesome
The sequel to this film is the 'Friends' series...
Haha that was funny
Increíble película....no entiendo como no se hizo todavía una remake
I'll admit, Even if Dolph Lundgren's acting as He-Man wasn't the best, him saying the iconic gave me goosebumps. Better than the Kevin Smith He-Man for sure. Something about that version was missing that special ingredient to make it iconic. The music really adds epicness to the scene
This is great. Even though Dolph never seems to master the English language, his energy more than makes up for it, and Frank is a force of nature. What does He-Man say before Skeletor yells, "Yes! Let this be our final battle!" ? I CANNOT understand Dolph there.
UPDATE: Pretty sure Dolph says, "Enough talk!" there.
That's exactly what he said.
Sweet. Thank you
He says, 'enough talk'
@@truthseeker3503 Thanks so much
I've only just realised that Skeletor is a massive diva.
0:10, The Sword Shines
ok when he reclaimed the sword and called apon the power his armor should have come back and i wish they had more on eternia may have heped them please more fans
austin warner having bitchy people trying to sell toys get off the writers and director's back would have helped and pleased more fans.
that is also a good point
Warner Brothers wasn't the problem. No Studio was the problem. It was the fact that they had a very very low budget. That's exactly why we don't have Orko in this movie and it's exactly why the movie later takes place on Earth. They were very tight on money but managed to get a brilliant actor to play Skeletor. Honestly, the only reason he agreed to play Skeletor was because his kid was a huge He-Man fan. So that's why he gave it the best acting he could. He knew it was a cheap movie and probably wasn't going to do good in the box office.
@@lylack1 Frank Langella has stated that despite all the problems the film had, it's his favorite role
This movie exists as an absolute gem and a total fantastic film in your mind, or its a complete disaster flop-fest. There is no middle ground. And quite honestly, I flip back and fourth between the two constantly, but I ALWAYS love it!
Say what you want. I f*cking love this movie.
Ditto
@@Mike179 how are you my friend
Skeletor: No!
He-Man: I HAVE THE POWER!
0:07!
By the power of Grayskull........
Nice movie. Better lighting and effect than movies right now
My favorite part! 😃⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
One of the best scenes of all time
"I have the POWERRRRRRRRRRR!!!"
0:10 I HAVE THE POWEEEEERRRRR!✊️🗡⚡️
Best part of the movie. This and the fight
Ah this takes me back B)
This is me everytime I grab the last beer!
Story probably lack luster but nevertheless a wonderful film. We need more of this!!!
This would have been better if they dubbed in the cartoon voice when he said I have the power
He-Man: I Have The Power!
Ultimate crab battle.
You will no longer stand between me & my destiny... but i will... i always told you it was always between us!!
It still bugs me to this day why skeletor chose to use his staff against a sword when he had his own sword all along lol
say what you will about the movie but this scene was epic
Excellent
The best moment of the movie
love this movie..
I am Drago!!!
I dont care how bad the film was this scene gets me everytime......
Meg Foster as Evil-Lyn is the hottest fantasy f**k ever.
Wow. I saw this at the movies when I was five. 😅
where this clip ends, is how Golan and Glumbus said to end the film. Gary Goddard managed to get more footage and the last scene with Julie done.
Heja Dophan! Heja dig Lundgren! 😄
Wonder how Langella really sounded like with those full teeth prostethics 😂
Wow first time I watched this was when I was a kid. There was some scary bits. I watched the cartoons too!
Thank goodness this movie wasn't made in the 2010s. We don't need a side plot about He Man's steroid abuse and gambling addiction, or Skeletor's lupus.
I HAAAAAVE THEEEEEE POOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRR🗡️
Remember on south park where Cartman says let this be our final battle to Kyle
Se o críticos falam que um filme é ruim é porque ele é bom
I remember seeing it in theater... #timeflies
Its an okay scene... tbh it could have been a bit longer with more sfx. It comes up wanting compared to the animated version.
We need a reboot.
By the power of grey skull
This movie is so 80s.
Epic!!!!
More like 35th Anniversary now :D
