I think Regine is the first big artist to fully delve into this topic? Taboo pa rin ito sa ating mga Pilipino pero this is more common than we realize. Itong issue na to is always tinatago kasi at kinakahiya. Maraming relate dito I'm sure.
All the comments are about how Regine and Leila's relationship is so admirable. Well, that's because it is! But can we also acknowledge how Nate is just there, but being so behave and not being too papansin. They raised a good, polite, and smart kid. Kudos.
We were raised like that too. When we were younger we never interrupts when adults are talking. I remember I was already in my 20s when my mother's friends visited we would stay away after greeting them, then we later learned that they were wondering why we never interact with them much.
Michelle Van Eimeren and Regine Velasquez are basically truly GOOD people, definitely NOT perfect BUT GOOD & REAL, that's the way I see it - they are both as we say in the vernacular "edukado", regardless of educational attainment, yes both are edukado, it shows! They have been more than civilized, actually really warm towards each other and their respective children, that they have treated "each other's family" as an extension of their own. Michelle is a multi-lingual college graduate, competent actress and was once a Miss Australia. Regine, on the other hand is a graduate of the school of hard knocks, is no stranger to hardwork, and "rose from the entertainment ranks" by sheer talent (and having a good head on her shoulders), a visual artist and THE Asia's Songbird - achievements that could have easily turned these women into "Drama Queen Divas" and consequently be at loggerheads with each other, what with the GINORMOUS EGOS they SHOULD HAVE HAD by now - But NO, NONE of that for these ladies! Regine is so real and humble, enough to even mention to Leila at the end of the video as preview for the next one, "I don't know if I have apologized to you?" Though maybe, the start of her relationship with Leila's dad, Ogie may have NOT been the direct reason for Michelle and Ogie to split up, but IT definitely WAS the major reason why they could no longer get back together, for indeed Ogie & Regine have fallen in love despite the circumstances. This, I guess, made Regine feel "guilty" for being responsible for the eventual estrangement of father and daughters. I think her realness and humility stem from being, ironically, confident of her accomplishments that she worked hard for, through the years. Firming up her understanding of how it is for one to start from the bottom and emerge at the top. That she is loved and respected by family, friends, fans and colleagues and, of course by Ogie, has added on to that "self-assurance". Regine confident and loved, as she entered into this relationship, knew she DIDN'T and MUSTN'T have to compete with anyone, not with Michelle nor her daughters by Ogie. So Real because she knew and recognized how her and Ogie's love story started. Very humble to accept that before her, there was someone else AND the children would never be relegated to just "incidentals", because to a parent's perspective, Regine undoubtedly understood that they came first. More so when she became a mother herself, hence her genuine concern, love and care for her husband's children by a previous relationship, and thus began to treat them like HER OWN. It can be said that Michelle's goodness is reflected on her daughters' personalities, particularly Leila, whom the public has begun to take notice of, as well as, get to know bit by bit, lately. She is simple and straightforward though her parents/family belong to the "privileged few" in this country, some would go as far as branding them entertainment royalty. She obviously got the best of both her parents genes in the looks department, evidently talented enough to enter showbizness & clearly articulate - some qualities she can use as an excuse to throw her weight around but has seemingly not. Michelle, I think realized early on, that though it didn't work out between her and Ogie, the children need not suffer beyond the pain caused by the separation. As a mother, she knew that in order for her children to grow up truly happy human beings, even with a situation like theirs, she should provide an environment conducive to such. Results are quite apparent in the love, trust and respect the kids have for their father Ogie, the adoration and care for their little half-brother Nate, and the admiration for their lovable step-mom, Regine, as they plainly hold her in high esteem. I hope we have more of this kind of enviable and admirable "blended families" - the Alcasid-Velasquez-Van Eimerens - in our society, then a more peaceful world it would be.
This is one of the best and most articulate RUclips comments I have read! Kudos for the well-written, in-depth and positive observation. This is even better than the so-called entertainment columns/commentary in major broadsheets. I do agree with everything you wrote and have great respect for both women : Michelle and Regine. They show us that having 2nd family can be "drama-free" unlike what is usually depicted in teleseryes. I guess for foreigners like Michelle, it's not much of a big deal. A big factor probably is that in Australia, the grandparents and extended family do not meddle as much with the affairs of other family members unlike here. Add to that, the pressure to appear perfect in society.
Jacob Garcia how do you know it? Are you living with them? Iba pag nasa camera...yung naka video sila, can be seen by public,of course pa good image sila.
Ang galing mag makeup ni Queen. Kahit walang mirror.
Grabe nakaka believe talaga Ms Reg. Dapat ganyan lang happy always, you treat her like your own daughter.
Well, what can i say? Regine V-A., is a person you should give full respect to, not just being a good woman, a song bird, but because she is Regine Velasquez with high standard qualities of being a human being. She’s a packaged. I’d be very proud and thankful if i was her step-daughter. Regine Velasquez has been my family, cousins and relatives’ favourite singer for decades because she’s extremely admirable. I think it’s so obvious naman. Wala ng makakapantay kay Regine. Nag-iisa lang yan. ❤️ More videos please, lolz. 😂
For me, this is the best Vlang so Far. (In Regine Velasquez YT) you can see sincerity in the both of Them💚 I'm so happy for them lol I'm just smiling in the whole vlang. You can really see that they are really good OMO I love you Both!!!!!!
This is the REAL TALK to end ALL REAL TALKS. Compelling. 5 stars. Kudos to Regine, Leila and Playlist Team for the bravery to tackle the issues faced by a step family. May this serve as a reminder that a stepfamily does not always have to be horror stories. A stepfamily relationship could work and work really well if you put an effort and commitment, and this is an example.
You know not everyone is lucky to have a loving and caring step mother. I've heard a lot of horror stories about step mothers. This right here is pure mother daughter relationship goals. You two are lucky to have each other. Much love to you both! Real talk suggestion, self acceptance. There are people who are really struggling with who they are because society some what dictates that. I've had so many conversations with people who are battling self acceptance. I think you're the perfect person to start this conversation because a lot of people look up to you,so it will hit different. I hope you can consider it and do it one of these days
I love how beautiful their relationship is. The society dictates that this kind of connection between two individuals is awkward and impossible, yet here's Regine and Leila proving us wrong. God bless you two! ❤️
They should have a talkshow. The chemistry and connection can really be felt and it is heartwarming! Regine, you are a gem inside and out, and people around you shines too because of you!! You are one amazing woman. Such an inspiration!! ❤❤
So impressive Ms.Reg how you put your make up w/o looking.Im a fan since the first time I saw you on tv im 40 now and that long period of time till I am alive I will be a fan.Very humble and real.Godbless you always
REAL NA REAL NA REAL. Authenticity is one of the endearing characteristics of Regine that remained consistent over the years. Nag-iisa ka talaga Ate Reg!!!!
I can relate to it as I have 2 daughters myself for 17 years now since I became their second mom. They call me Ma and it's so sweet to hear and knowing that you have made an impact in someone's life. They are now 30 & 27 years old respectively. It's really best to treat your step children as your own and it'll be a lot easier to live together and be happy. To love is a lot easier than to hate. ❤
11:35 Nate just quietly listening to their conversation in the side. No wonder he is wise beyond his years. Kids who were born from middle-aged parents tend to be very wise and mature because they grew up around adults.
I've met Regine back when I was I'd say 12 or 14 years old. My nanay was talking to her dad while they were rehearsing in Abelardo Hall, in UPdil. I was sitting next to my nanay and was listening to Ariel and Regine's duet. I was so happy and was so amazed by their performance. Mind you, the only audience were me, my mom, and her dad, plus I believe one of her PAs. I did not notice her walking towards us, she then asked me and said hello, ayos lang ba performance ko? I said while stuttering, opo. She said aw thanks. She again approached me and asked, ano ba magandang pelikula ngayon? I replied, Anastatia. She excitedly said, ok ok papanoorin ko yan after neto. Infairness, she's very grounded. I liked her eversince 🥰 truly a very down to earth person. I'm not surprised that she'd be a great stepmom to Ogie's daughters.
wow! lalo mo po akong pinahanga Queen Regine, hindi ka lang isang reyna sa showbiz kundi isa ka rin palang napakabuting ina at stepmom..You're so amazing! ❤❤❤
SALUTE to LEILA and REGINE for being so brave enough to share this kind of serious topic and being honest enough to share this to the judgemental world, nobody's perfect in this world only God is. Being able to live life with peace is to be able to also forgive and accept situations in life that's inevitable such as their situation and make it work with LOVE. GOD BLESS us all 💛
I love how honest and "tagos sa puso" ang sinasabi nila sa isa't isa. 😊😊😊. I admire them for that. That's a good and postive vibe!!! Nakakahawa rn!!!! 😆😆😆
Regine has the kindest hearts. She treats Leila well like her own daughter. She’s her second mom. I love and admire Regine more. I just LOVE Regine...She radiates positivity and simply spread LOVE....😍😍😍
I was literally tearing up the moment they started discussing step-parenting. Lol Though I cannot relate to the topic ‘cause I’m not and have never experienced such, but I know that’s never an easy situation to be in. Both of y’all are blessed to have each other. I can tell Regine is a loving and genuine person. But Regine can’t function as a good step mom to Leila if Leila wasn’t/isn’t cooperative and doesn’t respect Regine as well. So it really goes both ways. Both did a great job on building their relationship to get to where they are now. A story like this makes my heart really happy. Something that’s not very common, and for lack of better terms, not very “acceptable” in our Filipino culture, can actually work when there’s love. Love is and will always be the key. Can’t wait for the second part! God bless y’all! ❤️ Love from CA.
I’m not your biggest fan but because I see how loving and real you are to Leila, my respect for you has increased greatly. This video is so beautiful. I wish you’d continue to do more contents like this. You are immensely talented and such a kind-hearted person. ❤️
THis is what i need from my father ... Yung ipaunawa sa mga anak ang bagong set up lalo na pag may bagong Partner. Kids will never understand until you talk to them Heart to heart and explaining them the situation.
Super nakaka relate po ako. To be friend with my bf's daugther po ang naisip ko. Kasi may mom sya sa heaven. Nakaka touch po talaga to. Salamat po Ms Reg💗 If this video has heart button I would really hit that. Love you. More of this genuine vlogs please
This is why I love RUclips. Life does not come with a guidebook especially for people like us who found true love in unconventional ways. Finding myself in a role of a stepmom at 29 gives life a different angle compared to the ladies in my circle who also got married at the same time as I did without such added bonus. The complications of trying to be good and responsible for another person without going beyond boundaries is not an easy task but one that is welcomed to help modern families work. Thanks to Regine, and other modern day celebs who’ve been kind enough to share their tough experiences, we somehow get a glimpse of what worked and might actually work for us. In a way, there’s more to the vlangs than the likes & product sponsorships. It helps humanise the things that our traditional society has considered as stigma. So excited for the next part!
I’m actually loving this. Learning so much from your relationship with each other. Thank you for this very honest and truthful vlang. Got me all emotional as well. Thank you for opening this part of you, Ate and Leila. God bless your family!
Thank you for allowing us to have a glimpse of this wonderful relationship between step mom Regine and her step daughter Leila. We can feel the genuine love and care you have for each other. Open communication line is the key. This is real talk indeed!
With Ate Regine, it's not just her immense talent and charm eh. It's the entirety of her personality and character that makes you stan her. Di ako nagkamali ng idolo!!!
Possible topics: financial responsibilities/division when both spouses work, when an adult child still stays at home, raising children with huge age gap, building relationship with a spouse's ex, choosing a vocational path over college, pros of working in showbusiness...
This video made me teary eyed. Ms reg is really humble and sincere! Leila too is soo real and sincere and the aussie accent ohmagahhh!!!. Cuteness overload kayo together! Stay happy!
Awww 😔 ramdam na ramdam po namin ung sobrang pag mamahal mo sakanila , di man sau galing si liela tinuring nyu pa din po syang real daughter at friends nyo po .. Im so proud of you queen .. Kaya idol kita ee kasi you are beautigul inside and out 💕 thats why many people are love you so so muchhh 💕💕 i / we loved you so so muchh forever queen .. Pinapahanga nyo po ako ng husto 😘😍
Love love love. Just shows how well Michelle raised her children. A real beauty queen shows real love to her children, love that breaks boundaries, love that is beyond norms, love that fosters love in others.
Sa end part, I got teary eyed - parang nag flashback yung SOP episode na kausap ni Ate si Michelle sa phone patch, and both of them were crying. Abangers sa Part 2!
That's why I love you so much Regine! Napaka God fearing mo may camera or Wala.... Sana lahat Ng step mom at step children's had the same relationship na meron SA mga anak Ni ogie....
All the love for Queen Regine for she is the real epitome of “Mother” naiyak ako kasi galing din ako sa broken family.. labu labu talaga.. may first family si daddy, ganun din si mommy.. lahat yun pinakisamahan namin ng kuya ko.. tagal din kasi nag abroad mommy ko.. tas pag uwi di sila ok ng daddy ko.. so longing ako sa aruga at pagmamahal ng isang ina.. at dami rin naming di pag kakasundo at pagkakaunawaan.. tas ending mawawala lang sya bigla.. masarap parin yung lumaki ka ng may ina.. kaya ngayon miss na miss ko na sya.. she died May 31 this year at sobrang mahal ko si mommy.. kaya I’m happy to see this kind of vlang sobrang nakaka inspire po. Love your Mother, Father and the rest of the family ❤️
I love the relationship between leila nd Ms. Regine. This is how should mother and daughter should be.. regardless if its a step parenting. Sana all ❤️❤️❤️
Regine has really genuine heart I can feel it . Look at Nate on the side He is really a good boy see how behave while the two ladies are busy chitchat😘👍Very lovely boy❤️♥️😘
Hindi talaga ako nagkamali na supportahan ka at maging fan mo. I'm just so proud of you kasi despite me not having any personal contact with you pero I felt that you were a genuine and loving person. At sa R30 concert mo tinawag mo pang friends ang mga fans mo I love you talaga Ate Reg.
I’m crying too... I’m also a step mom of 3 for 17 yrs now.. I have a good relationship with them but don’t think it’s enough because they don’t live with us. I feel u Regine...
And Leila's stepdaughter point of view and stories are very very interesting. Kept me hooked. Hindi ko namalayang 20 minutes na pala ko nanonood!!!! Grabe.
I love your family. Regine was so true to her feelings and followed her heart. She accepted her husband and all about him. And to Michelle, she’s very supportive and open- minded. And to Ogie, was pleasant to both women of his life, and managed to bring the bridge amongst everyone in the family. ❤️❤️❤️ Regine - brave woman.
Leila looks like Selena Gomez tho 💕
Kimby Israel opo ngaa 🥰

What's she doing in UPD then? Para ba sa Isang Pasasalamat concert?
@@ytchannel613 hindi ko maalala kung para san rehearsal nila nuon 🥰
Super true. Napakahumble pa 😍😍😍
wow! lalo mo po akong pinahanga Queen Regine, hindi ka lang isang reyna sa showbiz kundi isa ka rin palang napakabuting ina at stepmom..You're so amazing!
GOD BLESS us all 💛
Kathleen Capilitan it takes a person with admirable traits to have such relationship.

Ang cool cool ni regine! Chillax lng siya..it is effective!
This is the true Real Talk. Seriously, you two could have your own talk show.
I love how honest and "tagos sa puso" ang sinasabi nila sa isa't isa. 😊😊😊. I admire them for that. That's a good and postive vibe!!! Nakakahawa rn!!!! 😆😆😆
I really love their relationship. No wonder why Michelle and Regine get along really well.
Leila is so pretty she looks like Selena!
This kind of bond. This is why Michelle loves Regine too. Sana all.
So brave of Ms Reg and Leila to talk about their past 😭❤️
niobe niobe agree: I was teary eyed watching this..
Yeahh it was really a huge issue before but I’m glad they are opening up now and sharing their private issues and moments ❤️
Trueeee.
I’m not your biggest fan but because I see how loving and real you are to Leila, my respect for you has increased greatly. This video is so beautiful. I wish you’d continue to do more contents like this. You are immensely talented and such a kind-hearted person. ❤️
" You' re Like a Piece Of Jewelry " Talaga namang Kitang Kita ang pagmamahal ni ate kay Leila Parang Totoong magnanay talaga sila Love You Both
Super cute! Nakakawala ng stress talaga si Songbird. Iconic and legendary and yet grounded.
Queen Regine is such a genuine person. You'll fall inlove with her talent but will fall inlove more with her personality. 🥺♥️

20:17 "I don't know if I already apologized to you"
This made me cry😭😭😭
Reg was raised in a Filipino household. Thank you for being a good mother.
Every daughter deserve to have a mom like Regine 💖💖
I’m actually loving this. Learning so much from your relationship with each other. Thank you for this very honest and truthful vlang. Got me all emotional as well. Thank you for opening this part of you, Ate and Leila. God bless your family!

I love this family and admire nate for behaving and letting you two talking... A family with full of love and respect with each other.
Their daughter looks like Selena Gomez. Really
Thank you for allowing us to have a glimpse of this wonderful relationship between step mom Regine and her step daughter Leila. We can feel the genuine love and care you have for each other. Open communication line is the key. This is real talk indeed!
She's the real "well-raised daughter" 😊❤️
Ang cute ni Nate, nakikinig lang sa gilid. 😁
When you can sit and talk about anything and everything, with a step daughter/mom, so authentic!❤️
With Ate Regine, it's not just her immense talent and charm eh. It's the entirety of her personality and character that makes you stan her. Di ako nagkamali ng idolo!!!
May bago vlang ulit si Queen regine I'm so excited
Possible topics: financial responsibilities/division when both spouses work, when an adult child still stays at home, raising children with huge age gap, building relationship with a spouse's ex, choosing a vocational path over college, pros of working in showbusiness...

I really admire the relationship they have for each other. Praying for your family to be always blessed.
Sa end part, I got teary eyed - parang nag flashback yung SOP episode na kausap ni Ate si Michelle sa phone patch, and both of them were crying. Abangers sa Part 2!
I admired your upbringing in life not only its in our culture but showing how to 🤚 raised good 👍 children. I Applaused ,Miss Regine.

She’s so pretty, Ate Reg! And you’re so youthful. Can I suggest? An episode between Leila & Nate. It would be so cute!!! And a blockbuster ❤️
15:03 Regine's impassioned speech about Daughters Who Don't Know Their Self-Worth!!!!! Nanay na nanay haha!!!!
You really can tell that Regine is such a keeper. for being so so matured and being humble taking care of the daughter of her husband's ex.
Leila is like a female James Reid.. they have similar eyes, and that aussie accent😍
jessa soliano ruclips.net/video/h7ZvRcZ2pBQ/видео.html
Mas aussie accent si leila. Siguro dahil medyo natuto na magtagalog si James Reid.
Grabe.
The smile of Miss Regine when she saw Sir Ogie is so ❣️❣️❣️
I love your family.
Awwww.... beautiful people. Leila is so gorgeous and mama Reg is just genuine. I love you both!
