    I watched this because I was getting a "Fan Error". I found it most helpful. I put the Laptop back together and it was running great... UNTIL, I turned it off, put the battery back in, and moved it to a new location.... The Fan Error is back... Well at least I learned a lot.... Thanks....

    Hi, thanks for the video. Am I mistaken or the new paste was applied just to the cpu and gpu and not the south/northbridge?

    Good video, but you forgot the wi-fi module outside, and one screw left unused after the assembling process.

      I too left one screw unused..now don't remember as to where it goes.

      +Siddharth Raiyani I can't clearly remember, but it seems to be used somewhere near RAM block from the bottom side of the notebook. Try to take out the very first panel at the right bottom side of the computer and find out if there is an empty hole for the screw underneath.

      +SneakyP That motherboard supports up to 8 GB ram. Default ram is from samsung (PC10700) i suggest you to get similar ram 4Gb PC10700 from aftermarket or get any 2x4GB PC10600 ( 1066 Mhz ) ddr3 "SODIM" RAM.
      I am not sure if that motherboard works with SSDs but i am prety confident it does.

      @@FluffyOwl-Uhma SSD works fine (Samsung 860 EVO) AHCI mode. Got a second faster SODIMM (4GB) PC3 12800 1600 Mhz Gskill. No problem, the MB will set the speed and timing itself. Got Dual Channel mode too.

    does the power module led light up if the power supply is connected but not attached to the main board?

    • @howfixit
      @howfixit  9 лет назад

      Don Leibold if there no power supply connected to MB (battery or AC adapter) it led light won't work in any way

      How-FixIT i don't think you understand the question... the power plug, powerbutton, lan "module" by itself connected to the power supply should have a led light on ... yes

      Don Leibold oh i get, you mean: should light led when you connect power supply or not. But unfortunately i don't remember, sorry
