Oh man! Now I’m like “ I should do solids!” 🤣 But I’m staying the course with all my print fabrics that I’ve pulled for this. Can’t wait to see it all come together!
Thank you! This is so helpful. I want a predominately blue with brights on a whiteish background. Seeing you use your background fabrics as inspiration made me think about using 2 paintings that I love for my color choices. It will be perfect. Thank you for all you do to help us create beautiful quilts.
Hi! I have decided to use some some batiks from my stash. They on the dark side so will be going with light backgrounds. Love the solids you chose. Looking forward to making this quilt!
Thank you, dear Amy! Great video. I've yet to use more than one background--white. This is even more difficult for me than the bright colors. I wonder if you can help me, please. Thanks, Linda
Of course Linda! You aren’t sure where to start? My Rooftop Wonders is my favorite use of multiple background tones. shop.amyscreativeside.com/products/rooftop-wonders-quilt-pattern it has more of a relaxed feel even though it is a very planned block. Does that help? You don’t have to mix the backgrounds, but I like the interest that it adds. Are you planning to use prints or solids?
Linda, I'm lost on facebook - can you email me? I looked and haven't been able to find a note from you. amy@sewmodernquilts.com or amy@amyscreativeside.com
I just bought a bundle of the new Jen Hewitt fabric so that is what I’ll be using
That will be lovely!

That sounds great Dawn!
I appreciate watching how you work through the process. Also using a dark background is something to consider.
It could be really fun 🤩
I’m considering using creams as my background and darker tans as the “color”. What do you think?
That sounds like a very soothing quilt Charlotte!
