Man I feel so bad for Shawn and Dennis in this concert. Their voices are so blown out. I feel super bad, but hey they're doing what they love. Regardless of whether they have perfect pitch or not. As I heard someone once say "You go to a concert to have fun, if you want to hear a perfect version of the songs then listen to the CD".
i love dennis screams they are so unique and perfect for alesanas kind of music, and hes so energetic that makes alesana the best live preforming band ever

Greatest band ever. In Pensacola, at the end of Annabel, Dennis stacked three boxes and towered over the stage all with strobes and fog behind them. Probably the most epic thing i've ever seen.
To all of you watching, and saying that Shawn and Dennis are doing an awful job, I would like to see you play a full live show in suits, on a small stage, while moving around a lot. Yes, this may not have been their "best" performance, but it's better than any of you could do. I've seen Alesana live, and they were amazing. Videos and Live is completely different, no matter what you think. Alesana♥

People really need to understand how strenuous doing this for says, hours and weeks on end does to you. Especially on the vocalists. You try screaming for hours every day for weeks.
+brandon stephenson iv seen band like cattle decapetation for example at the 3ed last date of the tour and they are just fine... they scream for an hour a night for the show lol... if you scream proper then that's nothing at all...
+duke silver I saw Cattle Decap on one of the first few dates of summer slaughter and travis wasnt doing too well, so I dont know what youre talking about

(you know the words)." that's what happened to my neighbour at the office & even though he thinks I'm creepy now I will never regret singing along to an Alesana song
Really like this band... Especially the Emptiness album. Although I was disappointed by their live performance in this video. Also why is the screamer the frontman of the band and the singer is off to the side? Listening to their music, I always thought of the singer as the main lead of the band with the screaming as secondary. Pretty mediocre performance, but I'm betting their music is hard to perform live just from how it sounds. Oh well, now I know to stick to just listening to their studio albums which sound great!
These guys were on tour playing the album in its entirety, and if the vocals sound like this. it's because the effort was starting to mess up their vocal chords.

Like shit? You must be joking. This was ONE show. Shawn was sick, and dennis screams perfectly. I went to their show in Brazil, and it was one of the most amazing concerts i've ever seen. Seriously, they are the BEST, studio AND live.

dennis only does screaming so he just jumps around all over the stage. shawn plays guitar as well as singing so he usually is at the mic
