    I cannot even begin to describe to you how incredibly helpful this all was... There was this example that was set up similarly to the problem I was dealing with & the way you slowly walked through everything helped me get the right answers for the "zeros" of the polynomial function (finally) - even though I don't really know how to do all that fancy synthetic division stuff.

    I guess its better to just straight up find the factor of the constant and try it in synthetic division rather than trial and error using factoring. Synthetic division is faster. Thanks!! I'll be using this technique

    "Imaginary numbers" is not purely correct, complex numbers would be the best term in this case

      They are imaginary numbers, complex numbers are basically a mix of real numbers with imaginary numbers, in this case 2i and -2i are just imaginary numbers, if they were to be complex, they'd have to be in the form "a+bi" where a and b are real numbers.

    Currently studying for a placement test, and I can currently learn from his videos, but this way of doing polynomials is not registering at all with how I remember in high school. It just seem like many extra steps are involved ..

      @@sijanxo I got the same answers. After getting the first rational 0 with f(1), the synthetic division gives us 3k^2-7k+2=0, wich factors to (3k-1)(k-2)
