Great job on a somewhat finicky kit. Those quarter windows are challenging! I love how you detailed the air cleaner filter!! So many just paint them white, whereas you added shadowing to the bottom of the pleats. Excellent detail!

Thanks! I have been building for over 45 years and have seen many kits come and go through out the years, repops and all. They put them in new boxes with different wheels and decals, but unless it is a new design, I recognize them lol 😂

I'm building this kit right now and the grill is giving me fits... I've black-washed the inserts with Tamiya panel light accent but it still looks too chrome. Excellent resource video!
I used 3 colors in the grill. One is a custom mix argent grey surounding the grill… that I also used for the wheel center caps, flat black for the grill holes and white for the 6 sections of the turn signals
Oh Man, they would be awesome! AMT is not my favorite manufacturer, they have had fit issues since I can remember and I am 56. They have improved alot in the last 20 years. Revell rules an of coarse Tamiya reigns superior!
@@Floridaredwing25 With your inspiration I started this kit. Thanks to you for pointing out the fit issue on front Valance, I was able to correct it before painting. I try fit the grill in the front and noticed it had a gap on both upper corners above the headlights. By bring the bottom front fenders in the gap disappeared and the Valance fit perfectly. Thanks again for your video.
Capt. Speirs you would not believe how many people install the front grill upside down! Well, you made my day! Keep me posted and send pictures of your progress. I have many things to aid you in your build.
@@Floridaredwing25 Will do. What's with thick glass? it's over 4 times too thick at scale. I am getting conflicting info on what engine was in the "Twister". I found an old two page ad from Plymouth stating that the Twister comes with the 198, 225 and 318 cubic inch and not the 340. What do you think? Did Chrysler add the 340 at a later date?
@@CaptSpeirsB744 The Twister was the "Swinger" styled coupe, with the different more formal roof line. I would have to do some research on you tube to see what I can find. And : Yes the glass is so silly looking. I had to stop myself from replacing the windshield with a scratch built piece.
