    Really wish I still had the motivation and inspiration to do stuff like this. 15 years ago I was a web and graphic designer and used to play games like the Sims, CNC etc but only to build and design, never the game itself. Since spending my life on a PC I've burnt out like nuts. This is my favourite game EVER I'd say and I have about 600 hours but I burn out so fast nowadays. Really want to get some drive back and try this stuff because your design ability is just mind blowing. I love the aesthetics. Mixing landscape with the buildings is just so so so so so good.

      Hey m8 this is just a friendly idea but have you tried going for walks? Sometimes just getting out into nature a bit helps. I like to go primitive camping for a few days just to get away from the tech and people for a bit. It's just what works for me it may help you for a bit. I come up with a lot of ideas while I'm out there too and after 3 or 4 days im actually a bit excited to come back and impliment them.

      This is similar to me, Pinball. I too lose motivation for tons of things. I had 500 hours when I quit Satisfactory about 2 years ago (when Update 5 came out, I barely played it). Eventually, I avoided this game because I kept giving up or ADHD kicks in and I go do something else. But I just came back into Satisfactory with tips from Fluxo and TotalXclipse that I've found new inspiration to make beautiful buildings. I highly suggest trying to get some of your friends involved as it makes it more about a fun experience rather than a task. You can spice it up for them by creating a parkour course of sorts (very viable with Ziplines, Jumpads, and Ladders!)

    I really like the horizontal version of your famous vertical wall, using the roof piece. Thanks for diversifying out of mostly showcase videos. It’s nice to see the techniques you use to make your masterpieces.

    The cool thing about these tricks is that they look great while not beeing too annoying to place down on a large scale

    • @FluxoBuilds

      Yeah! They are all for any scale and they work great breaking up builds!

  • @Harrzack

    Huge THANKS! We need more of this style of "tips & tricks" video. The showcase fly-throughs are ok - but tend to be rather fast and hard to stop and study details. What you showed here is SO simple - it's just that you thought of it - stack 1M foundations and deleting in between is just one of those things that only becomes"obvious" when you see it done! 😀💥

    The gridded wall is something ive experimented with before. I wondered how you did the horizontal ones. Nice. I thought it had something to do with using the small frame foundations for alignment. Really cool build tips. Great video! I love the look of that build in the end scene. I have a real habit of making symmetrical designs. Bravo sir!

    Really liked the tips here, but I'm wondering if you know that you can just build the foundations as asphalt instantly so no need to paint them? :-)

    • @FluxoBuilds
      @FluxoBuilds  Год назад +1

      Thank you brother, yes I know this :) there is a reason I don't (I explain this at the start of my most recent video). Basically I use ficsit foundation first as the pattern indicator on the ficsit foundation is the clearest indicator to show the direction of the foundation which is really important with asphalt as if asphalt isn't all facing the right direction when you are a certain distance away it looks "chopped up" but if it is facing the right direction it looks a lot smoother!

    Is there a reason why you place a thing, changing colour and material afterwards for how game handles placement or is it just a habbit?

    • @FluxoBuilds
      @FluxoBuilds  Год назад +1

      There is reason, the basic ficsit foundation showns directional pattern of the foundation a lot clearer that any other foundation!

      @@mhx47 well for asphalt for example, if you place asphalt the wrong way and zoom out little, you will see it very clearly if you place it the right way, when you zoom out it will all look one nice flow. I explain it a lot in my streams!
