You should have also added HDFC Diner's Club Black in the comparison. Easier to get compared to Infinia, and same reward rate.
U can hardly use diners anywhere coz diners acceptability is shit

LTF is out of the question, HDFC doesn't even give Infinia cards to Imperia banking customers who are ready to pay for the joining fee. It all depends on the RM and most of them don't want to take approvals for Infinia. It's a pathetic state of condition for HDFC Bank. My RM was giving me an Infinia card back in September 2022, a paid variant and not LTF. I chose not to pay 12500/- for Infinia back then as I was not living in a big city to be able to utilise the benefits associated with Infinia. Later in 2023, when I asked them for Infinia, the new RM and their team refused an Infinia to me, even when I was ready to pay the joining fees. They are now looking for 3.5 lacs+ take home salary credit after deduction of taxes and PF, etc to approve the Infinia card, which limits it to very few business class people in a developing country like India. Even their own HDFC branch managers, regional managers, business heads don't earn that much take home salary. HDFC simply doesn't want to give Infinia card to the ethical salaried class people. We have overhyped this card.
You didn't take when you got it and now you are not being offered so it is overhyped? 🤣🤣🤣 I am sure you would have had completely opposite opinion and would sing praises had your new RM approved Infinia for you. BTW, the hype is always according to exclusivity, if they give it away easily then there won't be enough hype. So your comment of "overhype" is senseless.
@@sujith3914 Back then in 2022, I didn't know that this card is overhyped or brings any exclusivity as such. When my RM approached me and told me about the benefits associated with the card, I was initially in a mood to take it but I was living in a small town where I can't use most of the perks of this card so I refused. Later, when I was in Bangalore in 2023, I asked for it and agreed to pay the cost, but that's when HDFC started their drama to project it like an exclusive or in other words overhyped card. They are now offering me the Diner's Club Black which I don't want. If you're not into black money , money laundering, or earning by illegal means and also not a businessman or politician, the new criteria they have set of 3.5 lacs+ salary credit after deducting taxes per month is simply a stupid effort to make this card look exclusive. No wonder why HDFC Bank is a sinking ship now even in the stock market. This stupid Infinia card is not an Amex Platinum charge card or an Amex Centurion but HDFC is trying hard and failing. Even the HDFC bank's vice presidents, bank managers, and the regional heads don't earn that kind of a salary after deducting taxes but they expect the customer to earn that much after taxes to get this Infinia card. It's like if they want to give the card, they will approach us and offer but if we want to get it, they have numerous reasons for not offering the card. This one way strategy is simply an idiotic effort.

Sad to hear that. But credit cards should be used wisely considering all the risks. Banks will send recovery agents to your home and they will try to defame you, socially. Disable your social media account, or else they will get the details of your friend circle and will try to defame you somehow and harass you every now and then unless you pay them back.
also talk with them for settlement to the main amount 40000 rupees. If you will properly talk with them for final settlement at 40k they will eventually agree.

6:00 I just found out that 35RPs per 200 over and above 1.5L is applicable only till the 3L mark. After that only 12 for every 200...

You are wrong litterally its not correct, everyone knows even in hdfc website clearly mentioned if we spend Rs 3 lakh in 90 days with infinia no joining fee. But its not with magnus which makes this card kinda ltf

Update mid range card 15 to 20k expenditure per month, travel, hotel stay, dinner, insurance, online purchase, domestic 2 visit in three months........ Also suggest good Rupay card above expenditure.

Getting Infinia card is tough even with high salary !
The only benefit that Magnus provides is international lounge access with additional guests. This is really a deal breaker for people travelling abroad with family.

Can you compare axis Burgandy Magnus credit card to HDFC infinia metal card? If you can I am highly obliged
As owning a burgandy account, the reward miles comes out to be 5:4, instead of 5:2 for normal case, so should i hold magnus or move to infinia? As i am more inclined to convert points to miles

I'm in your shoes, calculated returns from infinia vs Burgundy+Magnus... infinia is offering comparitively less returns. I'm holding on to the Magnus just because I have Burgundy. In a straight up competition infinia is better than magnus (without Burgundy)
Which partner do you prefer for travel related redemptions? I have converted most of my points to Accor.
For normal spends, Burgundy + Magnus will offer better returns. For instant vouchers like Amazon, return on Infinia will be better than Magnus + Burgundy.

I bought car worth 18 lakh from magnus. And converted into burgundy. Now I get around 3 lakh reward points. And incase of burgundy I can redeem them in 5:4 ratio. If I convert into accor then I get pay bill of 410000 in accor hotel

Can you please confirm if we can use priority pass for domestic lounges as well? Not chargeable?
The only credit card whose priority pass can be used in domestic lounges is Infinia. You can get 4 add on cards as well for your family and even the add on card comes with priority pass. This benefit itself is worth a lot according to me.

These cards are super premium card and not meant for the common man. I've never used any of these paid card. I usually opt for LTF (Life Time Free) cards. Never increase your liabilities. This is a biggest debt trap.
Lifetime free cards can get you equally in debt as much as the paid cards. What’s the difference?
@@CardAcademy No they don't. Most of these premium cards have an annual fees of atleast 10k to 12k + taxes. Also you're compelled to spend 10L - 25L just to get it waived off. No such conditions on a LTF (Life Time Free) cards. One doesn't need to worry about charges or being compelled to spend and get themselves into debt. 10L or 25L for that matter is a huge spend for a common man.

Just see what they did to Magnus, Axis didn't post the points for Aug only else, they posted for every month such that customers can redeem with 5:4. Same thing for Atlas, as long as they provide the benefits, once they stop it, you can move to other cards if you want. Where is the trap here? They are also doing some business.
Everything is trap. Credit card points are there to keep you busy in accumulation. Regards axis bank i never trusted this bank . Since imagine plight of customer whobgot magnus 1 or 2 minth ago( m 1 of them). Its sheer waste of money for me . Also i m hearing they are cancelling meet and greet services also. Are they here to joke?
Axis Atlas is better than Magnus for normal spends. On travel edge, and gift edge spends, Magnus is still better than Atlas.

Honestly, don’t go for the Magnus. They’re giving peanuts in terms of miles. Before 1st Sept, it was really good.
If you still want to proceed, you can apply w Axis and check with them if you have an existing limit of 3L. Because my Magnus has a limit of 3L too.

I'm very disappointed with HDFC, they were quoting a salary of 6 lakhs per month when I enquired about Infinia. They are being very pompous about this stupid card. I'll hold on to Magnus, still not the worst card in my wallet. With Axis Vistara Signature, AMEX Platinum Travel, IDFC First Wealth, and Tata Neu Infinity, I feel I'm already reaping good benefits.
Stupid card ? Case of sour grapes. If the card is stupid, why did you try in the first place, and got disappointed when refused.
