Growing nut trees from supermarket chestnuts

My chestnuts started sprouting last week; five out of six so far, so much smaller scale than you - but my garden is only about the size of my sitting room lol. The sense of wonder and satisfaction is the same though :)

When you plant chestnuts from the supermarket do they produce goods sized nuts?

Some will, some won't. But I'll grow out the best cultivars and coppice the others.
