@@66Duffman EPIC!!! Life long dream. Tried to build some rigs (78 Broncos) found out I am not a fabricator/mechanic, just good enough to think I could. Never thought i would get to do the Rubicon
Finally watched the last video of your guys epic saga! Thanks again for the shout out! Honestly one of my favorite parts about these trips is running into people you know.
There are lots of trails but for me the rubicon is my favorite. And i have to say the trip i did 2 years ago with the dirtnation crew is still my best offroading memory. Between the views and constant obstacles the feeling of family it was just the best. Everyone we met were just awesome. I am bummed i wasnt able to make the trip this year. So i will sit here and enjoy watching you guys have a blast. Hopefully next year i will be back with the crew to have another awesome adventure. Watching the video brings back great memories thanks man! And thanks to the crew for always having eachothers backs. You guys all fricken rock! I hope we can get a good sized group next year. 🤙🔥🔥🔥
That XJs a beautiful beast! I've owned so many of them, I've lost count ? My stroker XJ was the best! But it's funny last night, I remembered 1 that I totally forgot, sold it to a guy named "Ernest Blot" and he sat here fixing it for hours until I said "pay me and please leave!" 😅
@66Duffman Ernest Fukin Blot! Mother Fucker wouldn't pay me and just leave! I finally had to say something, it was a 500 dollar XJ, the reason I was selling it is cause I didn't want to fix it! Meanwhile I'm driving this yoyo back and forth to pep boys! 😆
Great video, Dustin. The song about Winchers made the video tho!! I laughed out loud when I first heard it and the family just stared at me like I was a freak.
Video is super legit! 💯 ✅️ Thanks for the spot leaving buck. If possible maybe we can meet up and run it next year with yall. 😎 We love watching your videos. Keep up the amazing work 👏 🙌🤘 -4wdfamilyadventures -the red 2doorXJ 😅
1:09:09 I was so dead tired baking in the sun for 3 days trying to fix my runner still ended up having to get towed out😂 but once again thank you for the fuel pump
Who makes these songs? That's awesome! And not for nothing, fkin excellent video brother! When it comes to editing and putting these videos together, you're an Ace! Really enjoyed it! TY and sorry your front axle sucks! 😅 D60 Time! You know 1000 chevy guys, they gotta have 1? I swear, if I find 1 local, I'm fkin delivering it to California!
@66Duffman I don't think you have a choice at this point, it's crazy, when I first got into offroad in the early 2000s, I was tripping over them, got a few for people, I've always been LSD not Right, I remember building my friends monster V8 YJ with a RSD Dana 300 twin stick, that fucker was unstoppable! And we used a Chevy 350 rebuilt by Jasper, and a Chevy 60 , king pin! Fuckin great axle! Exactly what Winchers is in need of, I always feel bad watching you wrench on that Toyota axle! That all goes away with a well built D60 Chevy axle! Straight wheelin , we would do black and red trails without airing down!
The point where you say homeward bound in the video beer tree is right in front of you, if you had passed on the right you might have seen the sign in the tree!
I really tried to not say anything, but attaching shyt to the roof of a removable roof vehicle is fkin lame! How would you take the roof off, you bought the POS cause it's convertible? As far as putting shyt on the roof, learned my lesson back in 03 on my XJ, it's a bad idea 💡
@66Duffman Strapping shyt to the roof is never the answer, especially when it's removable 😆 and top heavy is our enemy! Unless rolling over is your thing? 😆
You referring to the BRaptor? I can still take all of my roof panels off without removing the rack and to remove it all is just 10 bolts. I love my roof top tent. Home away from home. I considered removing doors and roof panels on this trip but wasn’t sure how much dust is on the Rubicon. Next trip will be doors and roof off. By the way that tent is 70 lbs. don’t even feel it up there
@AngerManagementOverland Definitely makes sense that the roof would still be functional, after owning 6 Wranglers, ya gotta take the roof off! But the 4 door jeep, it looks like it's attached to the the actual fiber glass roof? And I remember back in 03 with my first XJ out of 6-7 of them (I might have forgotten a few, getting old) when off camber (Black/Red trails) with a 35" BFG MT on my roof rack, there's 1000% a difference, if you're not doing seriously off camber decently hard trails, then, weight up high won't make to much of a difference. But putting 100lbs or so will definitely make a difference in a bad way, with the IFS, maybe it's better? I wouldn't know? I left my IFS in a dumpster in NJ 😆 it was broken by a short long Island NY curb. I have a 1st Gen Tacoma S.A.Swap, with 38" tires and I drive her constantly! I have the only Solid Axle Tacoma in a of the NY islands! There's 42 billion (There's only one 😆) Jeeps, and me and a 4runner S.A.Swap 60 miles east of me. But glad here you didn't buy a jeep, as much as I don't like the (Cause of the IFS) new Bronco, I don't hate it, can't wait to see the solid axle conversions, and I can never see myself attaching awnings and tents to my rig? Been going offroad since 03 and it's never crossed my mind, I like camping 🏕 Even camped at "Jellystone" when I was a kid, but my rig is built for daily driver/rock crawling and brings me there and back, usually without problem (Knock on wood 🪵) next, she's getting tons! F350 V10 4x4 donor is sitting right next her! Can't wait! All I do is offroad upgrades, maybe I'll get one of those camping 🏕 trailers eventually?
Such a great thing to know about the bathrooms 🚻 Cause I don't poop outdoors, just not my style and I have Colitis! So no one wants me to poop outdoors! Great video brother!
Lance with the BRaptor here. You guys rock!!!! Thanks for the spot and letting me hang with you guys for 200 yards.
Sure thing…hope you guys enjoyed your trip

We’ll make it happen someday 😂🙏🏻
Wonder how they clean out those shitters deep into the trail. Must be one impressive vacuum truck.
There’s a big truck that goes thru there…I wanna see it in person someday 😂

Do it in 4 days now 😂😂😂
I want that winchers song lol

I was going to say this, beer tree is like right in the "middle" of granite bowl. I found it this last time we were there also. @@66Duffman
When and where for your next trip?
Looking at Trail hero in Utah first week of October
I think you should put an automatic in Winchers.
It used to have an automatic 😂
@@66Duffman oh’ 😂

you have to run UP old sluice !!
That was our plan before I broke down 😂
Have you ever thought about bringing your 3rd gen to rubicon? I have a 2nd gen ifs on 35 that I take.
Next rubicon trip I plan on taking the Tacoma 🙏🏻
