We were trying to do a 1-week turnaround quick paint job on this thing but ran into a lot of issues getting the previous owner Rattle can paint removed from it! Once the bodywork was all done we laid down the primer on this one!

Gonna try and save them, I redid the ones on my Supra with reduced raptor liner and they turned out great

COMPLETELY different animal that VP 2050 primer. No I have not tried it but I'm a believer it's just expensive. Your Upol was a 2K 'Urethane' primer while the VP 2050 is a hybrid 'high build' Epoxy 'sandable' primer. And yes it shrinks less. Great vid great project guys just wanted info to get out on this unique product.

Paint stripper + 2k spray filler/primer would have been so much easier
I bought a 3g eclipse for 800 bucks as a project car, the previous owner plastidipped it with cans, the proceeded to paint over the plastidip with rattlecan paint. Was a nightmare to remove. I ended up having to use air craft paint remover and a razor.
