I wanted to thank you for your movie, I ordered my first model. Today he just came and immediately went to test it. Flying great and gives a lot of fun. Exactly like in this video. thank you
What a great glider Ali. Awesome stuff. How the hobby has come on in 30 years when I first did gliders and planes . I used to do thermal flying when younger. Great days. Thanks for the video Ali.
I bought a AK A800 and it arrived on a wet windy day, So had to wait, but I have now had a couple of flights and I love it, Had to buy another battery as one wasnt enough, went higher in the MaH for longer flight time. Now just wait for the weather to come right to have some real fun with it
Another day of testing in absolutely perfect, flat calm sunny conditions....Nice job Ali......well done. You can have our windy days, we dont want them, really we dont.
So are you able to do rolls using rudder and ailerons? I have wltoys f22 mini which is very easy to fly..i fly in high rates than switch to 3d and can do some loops and rolls..than like with this one i just hit right button and you are in 6d ,so you dont crash..nice job
Is it me or are front propeller planes easier to fly? I got this a800 and as a noob I could even do fairly nice controlled landing. Then I tried a plane called skyking with rear mountet propeller and it felt really topheavy obviously crashed that one a lot. Lastly what is some newer rc plane similar to the a800, but never?
it depends how the plane, its aerodynamics and its power combo is designed, how pilot sets the CG right. i have flown planes with rear rotors that are super stable
I have this plane...... thinking of getting the 1200 too - Can anyone tell me - Do they use the same batteries, and is the motor, prop and cockpit canopy the same for both planes ?
However! The glue that held the rudder and elevator servos in place broke free and resulted in hard right rudder upon inputting up elevator. Not good. Had to jam in some polystyrene offcuts to hold it all down. This was on my first day of flight.
Hi, when you turn with your plane are you using the ailerons to do the turns or the rudder? Because when I tried to fly mine I tried to steer it with the rudder and it banked over and did a nose dive and hit the floor and broke the wing. I've managed to glue it back together and I was hoping you could give me some tips before I try and fly it again. Should I use just the ailerons to turn it next time and not use the rudder . Please help me out so I too can enjoy flying this plane . Thanks Dell.
I use ailerons, elevator and rudder all to make smooth banking turns. this all comes with experience. :) crash more and you will learn faster :) thats how i learned
@@alishanmao hi the plane was climbing when I used the rudder to turn and it spun it over on its side and nose dived to the ground. Is that something you should not do use rudder and elevator at the same time when taking off or anytime ?
you have definitely stalled the plane. when Taking off, plane needs good power and speed for a climb. if you reduce power or speed, it will stall, tip to one side then dive to ground.
Selam aleykum brother i have an qeustion is there an way so i can video call you i wanna show my problem with my nitro rc it would be awsome if you could help me the rc stops when i give gas with my controller
Great video. I have added this plane to my hanger and it is a little all around fun little bird you can pop into your car for a quick flight on the fly - no pun intended. I wish they would have added a small brushless motor to it though.
I'm a latecomer to this plane (2024), but I notice the manual mentions a camera option in item 5 of product information. Also there are two unused 3 pin sockets on the mother board. Anyone figured out how to use them? For Futaba receiver? For camera control? Unused trim control to operate?
I know more often than not that's the way but I've seen a few reviews on this exact plane they made sure that they looked at the stabilizer light flashing and then turn to a solid and then that's when they decided to turn on the receiver I would think that the receiver is what makes the light go solid however I didn't see that the main important thing that the two reviews were stressing why are they wanted to make sure specifically for this model that the stabilisation was set first before they turn the receiver on in both videos and it seemed to be more responsive together.
@@rcaviationswitzerland186 in most cases .this one seems to have the opposite.connect power to the plane .then..radio on..to allow the gyro to calibrate while plane is not moved and sitting level.

I'm sorry to spoil the wonderful 'feel-good' mood of your video, but I feel I should say for your other viewers that my experience with this neat little model hasn't been quite so happy. I've been an RC modeller since the mid 1970s, but this was my first try at modern-style electric flight, LiPos, BECs, gyros, micro servos, EPO 'construction', and all the rest of it. My A800 had radio problems. I set the plane down, straight and level, then waited for the gyro to calibrate itself. Things seemed to be all right, but the ailerons didn't respond to the stick - they just twitched and juddered. I checked the plugs, tried switching left for right and vice versa, but no go. They just quivered as if the Tx was still switched off and the Rx was picking up static. Both wing servos have little Quality Control 'PASS' stickers on them. The motor was fine, and the rudder and elevator worked. The receiver's red light responded correctly when powered up; slow flash, fast flash as the gyro settled down, then steady red, just like the manual says. The gyro itself seemed OK, as the elevator responded to pitch shifts when the model was held in the hand and tilted. But... no ailerons, so I haven't tried a flight yet. I don't know enough about gyros to risk it. I wondered if a full-power launch might 'wake up' the accelerometer and reset the ailerons... I've contacted the manufacturer, asking if there's anything I can do, but there's been no response (yet). I'm tempted to just leave the ailerons unplugged and fly it with rudder, elevator and throttle. I'd be inclined to set the ailerons to act as full-span flaps, giving the aerofoil a couple of degrees of undercamber... Back to the drawing board, I think. ;-)
sorry that you might have received a faulty one. Ailerons are needed to keep it flying balanced and stable. yes problem with chinese sellers and chinese manufacturers is that they will never reply. Support and after sales services are not in their dictionaries anymore. mine still flies like a dream
How cool it would be if you had a camera with a super zoom mounted on a tracker that follows an object using mirrors. That would be awesome and super expensive too
