Thank God Challenge tv has decided to repeat old episodes of Stars in their Eyes" Beginning with the original presenter, the late Leslie Crowther. At last, something decent to watch on a Saturday day, as an alternative to that ghastly X Factor, with all those Ego Seeking Judges.
STEVIE WONDER WAS GOOD, BUT SO WAS MADONNA, STEVIE SANG AN INCREDIBLY SAFE SONG AND JUST SAT THERE ACTING BLIND, AT LEAST MADONNA GOT UP AND DANCED, AND TO SEE STEVIE WALK OUT ON STAGE UNASSSISTED BY ANYONE, AND STILL ACTING BLIND, I HAVE NO WORDS FOR. 😮
Aagh, Challenge tv has taken it back off while the X Factor is on. Never mind, I've heard that a new series of Stars in Their Eyes is returning to ITV in January, hosted by Harry Hill.
+David Townson Yeah, I must admit that when I found out Harry Hill wasgoing to host it, he would turn the show into a farce. And that's exactly what he did. He turned what was once, a great talent show, and turnedit into a cross between the Harry Hill show, and TV Burp, with the mainfocus on him and his tom foolery, and not on the contestants. Its a shamethat ITV didn't choose Vernon Kay, Mulherne or some other decent showpresenter. Let Harry stick to children's tv, that's his viewing public.
+SarahSings I've just watched it on Challenge, and I don't think he was blacked up, just browned a bit: maybe they over did the gravy browning a bit! Then again, we weren't quite as sensitive back in 1992 as we are now.
I watched the first edition from Stars in Their Eyes' third series James. It was good to see this again.
Crowther, pure class.

Far more talent that the x factor or modern talent programmes and I use that word talent with reservation.
I didn't really get why they cut out the interview before "Cilla's" performance :S
It was probably because of timing reasons.
david bowie sound alike was awesome spot on
SERIOUSLY WAKE UP YOUR DREAMING OR IN SERIOUS NEED OF HEARING AIDS!!!!😂SOUNDED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE DAVID BOWIE!!!!!
So wrong but yet so right.
Whats David Ershon doing on a talent show?

great viewing.
+Gary Dunn Sadly (or maybe not) this re-vamp has already been cancelled (April 15) thanks to poor ratings (Daily Mirror, Metro, etc)

it's Alan Partridge, ahah
I can't really tell because of the picture quality but is the guy impersonating Stevie Wonder blacked up?

Yes, he’s my uncle and he’s got make up on but he’s mixed anyway.
Ms LaToya ELLIOTT Really was flattering of Stevie : D
