This is crazy .... The timing of coming across this vid... Cuz I just spent 2 days scouring online bible stores for a new Bible. Ive got a dozen bibles but my fav and most used is 22 yrs old has split its spine and is falling apart. Problem with on line shopping is they never show enough info. For 1st time i want to buy a high end bible, but im on limited income so i really cant afford it but im so excited about it because im seeing it as a relationship... (Separate than representing our relationship with the Lord). We love our bibles because it's a relationship for we dont interact with anything as much as our bibles. So, I want this one to be perfect... Which is why the lace of info not on- line is a major disservice. Ive never heard of these bibles and their publishers so this vid has just opened up a whole new world of possibilities!!! Thank you But im so jealous you get them for free to critique them. How do i get that job? Ps. Im in Canada so how much will the shipping be? Pss. Has anyone in these comments used thr Thompson chain bible? Thoughts?
This is great. Thank you for the breakdown. Tim Wildsmith at Bible Review Blog is doing a 12 Days of Christmas Bible giveaway using Bibles that were donated by his viewers. Today’s giveaways are from Humble Lamb.
Give her a gift this year that says "I want to father 7 children with you (Ezekiel, Rebecca, Samuel, Bartholomew, Moses, Joshua, and Pricilla), and I want to home school them and give them a thoughtful devotional twice per day". Nothing says that like goat skin leather and multiple ribbons.
I'll vouch for that! Amen. I still have the KJV open study Bible I bought the first week I was saved. It was the most expensive a the only one on the back table at the meeting I was at and I have never regretted it, not even one time. The only thing I would add is the gold embossing of all the kids names, you can never go wrong with a personalized customization like that. 👍👍👏👏❤️✝️😇👣🛐💯
I have one and it’s beautiful! I choose the crimson red and it’s a gorgeous shade of red. There also is quite a bit of room for notes. Not exactly a wide margin, but if you like to add your own notes, you can. The font size is great and there is room between lines so it’s a pleasure to read. God bless!

@@destinycoach5 I’ve learned the phrases and names of things by watching lots of videos. 😅 I initially began looking for Bibles with larger font and more opaque paper so that reading would be more pleasant. And it really is! I also wanted a leather that was beautiful and would last. The Schuyler Quentel has an 11 pt font and a 2 column format. Both formats nice. Tim Wildsmith does a lot of videos on premium Bibles and does give aways during the year with a big one at Christmas. I read mine everyday and enjoy them. ☺️
Would you consider doing a video of the best study bibles based on content, regardless of material/aesthetics? I'm sure I'm not the only viewer that would love to see that episode. Just a thought. Happy New Year!
I’m really looking forward to the NKJV Stridon which they announced late last month. 🙌🏻 I have the NLT Quentel in crimson red calfskin and after handing it now for a few months I’m not sure if I’m going back to goatskin. A cheaper option for those who enjoy older typesettings and the KJV Bible is the Cambridge Turqouise in split calfskin. I’m using one as my devo Bible currently and it’s a joy to read and handle. Thanks for the review! God bless you all! Colossians 3:1-2.
@@logiciskey7 Sorry, the way I worded that was kind of weird. I don’t think I would buy the goatskin again after handling Schuyler’s calfskin. I’ve never loved the floppy attribute of goatskin and the calfskin from Schuyler gives the Bible a good grip while also retaining a smooth softness. I probably will buy the Stridon in the Black Pearl Calfskin when available. Hope that clarifies!

It's bizarre to see this and see the comments and hear people talking about $200-300 Bibles like they're talking about buying a pair of socks. I can't fathom being so rich!
I have a lot, too. I pull them out pretty regularly to compare versions. But I hate using my device for reading anything. My friend tried to convince me of kindle books and I’m like “nope”. Lol. If it’s electronic, I have to use audio and then I just get distracted and it becomes background. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ Everyone is different, I suppose.
@@Yesica1993 I'm not sure what specifically you're mad about. Bibles are constantly being donated and distributed by the millions. These are completely separate issues. I was just saying I'm not interested in getting another decorative Bible that will sit on my shelf until the end of time. It was popular in the 90s and less so in 2000s to have big beautiful Bibles, but they've become too cumbersome and inconvenient when you have one on your phone with a search option and different versions and languages and relevant study and reference material built right into the apps.
Any Bible that doesn’t include Calvinist commentaries is a good Bible. That’s the main thing you need to look for. Otherwise you’re calling God an evil being that purposefully created people that never had a chance of being saved. And that is a lie. Any other questions?
