​@@LunaticX900lacrimal sac act as pump, lacrimal sac is surrounded by orbicularis oculi, so whenever we blink, orbicularis oculi will contract and it will exert pressure over lacrimal sac and results in emptying, now when muscle will relax, negative pressure will be created in lacrimal sac and it will absorb lacrimation via punctum, defect in above mechanism may be known as lacrimal pump failure
