Its very interesting to learn whats going on behind the scenes- I’m convinced that all youtubers are work-a-holics and I think you guys fit that category! This development is very exciting!
Thanks so much as always! 😉 I agree about the work-a-holic thing. I know enough about you to see how busy you are not only professionally, but supporting your family, and doing RUclips on top of it. That is not lost on me, and I would say you seem to have even more stacked on your plate than I. But that still does not answer the question of why we do this to ourselves lol? All for mere pennies raining down from the internet... like the scene from Flashdance, but instead of water raining down, just pennies and the sound of pennies clinking on the floor... Some might even call that a version of insanity. 😅🤣😂
@@Campvue 😂😂 I appreciate it! I tell you- this youtube endeavor has been the most fun and rewarding thing (it doesn’t feel like work- most days!!) take care! We are on the road again before school starts and you’ve provided great entertainment during a long ride!! Have a great week!
I think this is going to be a real asset. I camp often through the season, 4-6 times a year. (also working on my winter camping game) 1/3 of my camping is done in developed campgrounds. The remainder is dispersed camping. I use a rooftop tent, so seeing campsites ahead of time would be especially useful. Most of my setup is in and around my vehicle, making many sites hard/impossible for me to use. I’m really looking forward to watching the number of sites grow in the Sierra, using this to find the perfect site.
This is a very interesting project, for sure. I've started dabbling in the dev and AI areas lately. I'm curious about your images. Are you using Canva, Leonardo, or something else? From our work experience in the past, I'd say I certainly trust your judgment. Just make sure you add notations in case someone else ever digs into that code! 🤣
I answered your question (in the dev diary I just recorded) which will be out soon, and there will be be a vid devoted to the AI, but the short answer is Adobe Photoshop (I’m doing it in Photoshop Beta), and use the generative fill feature for most of it.
From a UX perspective, how are you engaging your audience to understand their needs for such an app? I've wondered why you had not been developing "travel apps" other than of course having the time to devote to it. I may have missed some lead in about how you decided to approach the app, so my apologies if I've missed the details. Best of luck in your endeavor!
This is a great question! Thanks for asking it. I'd say a couple things. I have another channel where I've been doing campground reviews for years, so a lot of the feedback I am using to build this comes from years of comments from viewers, and fellow campers. Next, on a recent trip, I spoke to many campground hosts, rangers, and other various colorful characters I ran into out there, and got their perspective about the common issues they see stemming from lack of info on sites, etc... I found speaking with them to be the most insightful, and I am also finding the same themes repeated across different conversations. As I do future demos and get deeper into features, I plan to discuss how choices I make stem back to those convo's and experiences. The final influence is my personal experiences being a life long tent camper, and my likes/dislikes, which so far seem to be common with many others.
Though I don't understand half of technical talk, I find it interesting and fascinating. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much! As you'll see, I think most of these won't be that technical, and where it is, I'll try to keep it short!
Excellents presentation on CampVue application. Clear and concise, easy to follow.😊
@@user-naturegirl love hearing that!!! Thank you!!’

Agreed about Typescript, it's not worth the time. Especially if for a one-dev team like this project.
Thanks! Appreciate hearing others’ opinions about choices I am making!
