Is there any chance you can give me some examples of how Simmel thought that the social organisation of the
city was transforming social interaction? And also would you be able to explain how simmel idea of social interaction challenge aspects of Max Weber ideas

Shoemaking and watchmaking do _not relate to creativity_ in real life - as any Western 21st century cobbler and jeweler can prove to You ("I could fix Your boot or watch, but I'd rather just sell You a new one for almost the same cost")...
There is no 'solution' to Simmel's 'Tragedy of Culture', because he describes _a natural, dialectic process of decline_ that is reflected in the Hellenistic concepts of _constitutional and civilizational cycles_ .
Unlike Marx, Simmel doesn't promise an utopian society via mere political reform - which never materializes since the formation of socialist movements in the 19th century - but is able to show how *the most advanced cultures erode **_from within_* , especially - instead of expanding without limit in a propagated futuristic manner.
Without _the traditional function of transcendence_ , man becomes predatory to himself, arguably the more so, the harder he tries 'to engineer' the outcome under the pretext of a 'common good' (Michel's 'Iron Law of Oligarchy').
