My guess is Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin weren't close with each other yet when this interview happened. In the other interviews with Son Ye Jin (both for The Negotiation and Crash Landing on You), he looks more comfortable, upbeat, more engaged, and playful and talks and laughs a lot. He also stares and smiles a lot at Son Ye Jin during those other interviews.
Agreed that HB does not gaze so much as he did in other interviews but I think they were already close even at this point (maybe they did not want to get too obvious but their body language betrays their camouflage). Notice how their legs literally are joined to each other throughout. You don't see that between SYJ and Director or between the host and Director. Also, when SYJ was looking behind for water, HB also looked behind with her and when he realised she was looking for water, pointed out that it was in front of her. Not to add how freely they nudged at each other as well.

Also, I have noticed in every other interviews that SYJ like to tease and put HB on the spot and HB would end up blushing and biting his lower lips or running his tongue over it (I love seeing him blushing and running his tongue over his lips). Even here, HB was speechless and end up gulping soju when SYJ, in response to the host asking why they have not worked together until the negotiation said, HB refused. It shows the kind of comfort level they enjoy with each other.
