I've got to say, sorry, but I never saw a 432, or other vehicle, that was painted white inside. The official colour is Eau de Nil ,BS381C 216. That was applied to all surfaces except the floor and floor plates which were painted silver and some truck cabs were painted NATO green instead of EdN. Often the hatches were painted NATO green so as to not have a lighter colour screwing up the 'cam pattern' when open. I may be alone in this observation but that is all I saw in the 13 1/2 years I served in the REs and other Regts may of had different, unofficial, ways of painting there vehicles.
Sorry to be picky. Good resto btw

We have bought lots of fv432’s over the years straight from the military auctions and some have been white inside others silver. This one was white so we decided to kept it white. It could Possibly something they did when they revamped the 43 series in the early 2000’s? I’m not sure would definitely be worth looking into

Happy to see it all nice and restored, much better than just sitting in a barn somewhere :)
I noticed the rubber on the roadwheels wasn't masked before painting the vehicle, is that normal procedure in the army or was it just to speed up the process?

Thanks! We don’t usually mask up the wheels as we can use thinners to remove any paint that goes on them quite easily

More great content, great job and a nice short video. How do you paint in cold conditions? Do you use a special paint?

We use normal vehicle paint but we just make sure the vehicle isn’t ’sweating’ and put the heater on so it drys properly

Do you know the vehicles history? Going to put its original units markings on it? Or not allowed?

I’m not sure off the top of my head but I can look at the data plate and find out. We aren’t planning on putting any markings on at the moment but maybe in the future!
