I really love John Winchester he was a great man, an amazing hunter and he did love Sam and Dean so much, it was obvious but he was a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE father

I've seen a lot of people calling this scene "foreshadowing" for "Deanmon" in season 9 & 10, but was it really, though?
Yeah, bc Dean died with the Mark of Cain then got brought back to life by Crowley as a demon
@@doomsday3659 but that doesn't mean it was an actual foreshadowing to deanmon, like i dont think they even knew at this time (during this season/scene ) they would even go that route since it was many seasons later. more of a coincidence i think.

@@mitch6052 i like to call it “unintentional foreshadowing”. the writers probably didn’t have the idea yet but it still works to clue into something that happens later. he did end up dying and becoming a demon.
kinda like when chuck called himself a god and basically told them exactly what he was doing to them. the episode was even titled ‘the monster at the end of this book’. chuck was the big monster behind it all. i doubt they planned on him being god in disguise from the very beginning, which i think is why it works so well, but damn it hits hard when you rewatch his scenes knowing what we know now.
i love these plot twists/foreshadowings that are so intense and fit almost perfectly that not even the creators knew it was where they were headed. and it really wouldn’t surprise me if these dumb little moments actually gave them the ideas in the first place 😂
@@trinityzapata8905Chuck was supposed to be god right at the beginning. The actor of Chuck himself stated in a supernatural con that he found out in the season 5 final that he was god.
As much as we love this scene, the "foreshadowing" to season 09's ending is a pure coincidence.
The nightmare of Dean becoming a demon was born from him learning more about the fate of those, who are dragged to hell. Ruby explained her origins as a tortured soul and how that's actually how demons are "born". Dean has been worried of becoming a demon after death.
That being said, it's a shame that we didn't see any human characters like Bella coming back as demons. It would've explored the process as well, since the only demon, whose past human life was explored (but never shown), was Crowley.
