Greatest store ever!!! I've been going there since the store opened in 1985. I can not emphasize the importance of what Steve Keeler and Rock Fantasy has meant to the Hudson Valley music scene. Long live Rock Fantasy!!!
Very cool Rock Fantasy store and facade design Pete. Very kind to share this video with SoT fans. Mr. Keeler is a great guy and this gives him great exposure for his store!
@@seaoftranquilityprog Hi Pete, I'm thinking of dropping by the fair outside Middletown this evening (via the store first!). Where will you guys be? Maybe can meet up with you and any of the Hudson Valley Squares. I have car and have to drive back so beer is out 😥 well maybe one... but be good to catch some of those bands too. Cheers! Rock Fantasy is one of the great shops of the country. I'm a music distributor, Music Millennium out west in Portland is one of the shops I worked at and it's fun to stay in the business and push records into stores. Compliments to Steve, and thanks for the current tour.
I just subscribed to Steve's channel recently and watched a couple of the Rock Fantasy videos. Also asked myself... 'Wouldn't it be awesome to have some sort of recent tour in Rock Fantasy?" and B-O-O-M... There we have it. Fantastic idea of Pete recording his visit to the store.
Steve, love the store. As a classic arcade and all pinball collector as well as music lover I can't wait to visit one of these days. Pete thanks for showing it!
Thanks, Pete. Steve has a killer store. Thank you Steve, for keeping the music alive just like Pete. We need more record stores like yours. Excellent episode.
What a treat seeing Steve's Rock Fantasy store!! Quite a store!! Thank ypu Pete and Steve for sharing this with us. Hope to make it out there soon! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wow , what amazing place Steve . this just felt like home . Brought me back to my teen yrs in the 80s in Toronto every weekend hitting all the record stores and head shops . I hope one day i will be able to head down there and meet Steve and hangout and support the store. Thank you Pete for doing this for us. 👍
Wow . If Only I lived in Middletown I d be there everyday. What an amazing Rock N Roll Collection of Pinball machines ! Dedicated Love of Rock N Roll Love it !
Keep rockin' on Steve! Buying online may be easier, but Steve will give the personal touch. You can't converse with a website, but go to Rock Fantasy and I'm sure Steve will talk your ear off! What you'll receive are suggestions and great ideas about bands you may not be familiar with. Best of luck to you Steve, and many more years of service in Middletown NY. Support your local shops.
DUDE!! I would love this store! Wish it was in my city. So happy to see a store like this still thriving with internet and streaming so prominent today. I used to LOVE walking into the record store as a kid!
This is great! Proper record store run by Steve, a proper, proper music person and all with a bit of Pete sprinkled on top. More "out-and-about-with-Pete-Pardo'! Whoop Whoop!
That was an awesome tour, thanks for sharing. My wife and I are travel nurses and whatever city/town we are in I like to visit the local record stores. It's so cool to feel the different vibe each city has at their record shops. Hope to visit Rock Fantasy someday. Rock on.
I totally forgot about this place, but now my memory of it has been jogged. I remember my cousin who grew up outside of Middletown taking me there once, maybe thirty years ago or so. I remember buying a Gretchen Goes To Nebraska tee there. The place reminded me of a couple of shops that used to be on W 8th St. in Manhattan long ago, but which have been gone for many years now, sadly. Now that my parents live up there, I need to check the place out next time go up to visit.
I worked close to the town in 1987 and 1992, so I must have visited, though can't remember. I may be in the area again soon, I may pay these guys a visit!
Wow!! Two of my favourite things there. Vinyl records and pinball machines. I could probably spend a whole day in there easily. Those Elvis pinball machines are everywhere. LOL Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Pete, very cool idea, If Im correct, It's been years since you made a video at Rock Fantasy. I would love to come down and visit for sure if I had the chance and would love to meet Steve and other SOT people ! All right, cheers everyone, stay safe !
Great looking store! I love all those black light posters and other memorabilia on display. Will definitely visit Rock Fantasy next time I take a trip down thru the Hudson Valley.
Cool store. If I ever visit America I will ensure I get to Middletown. Google tells me I can get there by bus from NY City, but unsure how long the trip is. Always great to hear those three amazing words, Grand Funk Railroad and Ruby has a great job.
Really enjoyed that Pete. Nice to see Steve's Rock Fantasy. Great pinball collection too. I'll pop in if I'm ever over the pond and in the area. It would be nice for us overseas subscribers to see more videos like this. You live in an area with fascinating history, natural beauty and thousands of things to see and do. Show us some more Pete.
I must say I was impressed with the game room. You don’t see a whole lot of pinball machines anymore and I used to love them. Good old Steve has got more than I’ve ever seen in one place. I love those old classics and so many with music themes! I will definitely visit that place some day. Road Trip!!!
It would be cool if we had one of those shops here where I live. Those were the places we all used to go to on the weekends back when I was in high school in the late 70s / early 80s.
Pete, thank you for sharing this! We would love to seee more music store videos, kudos! We’ve heard about this store for years from various friends. It’s great to see it finally 🎧🔥
Cool place with cool stuff! NICE collection of pins! I owned Creature from 1996 to 2019, and still own Whitewater. Coming up from Miami for a wedding in Newburgh next year, will have to stop by in person!
I would so love to visit Rock Fantasy and meet Steve. A so love great record stores when I was growing up and pinball so much love going to the arcades and down at the pool hall growing up playing pinball all day and shooting pool. It would be great to take a couple of days to visit a great place like that. Thanks always for the tour of it Pete.🎶
Pete, Steve is the F’n Man! I need to make a trip up to my old stomping grounds & visit Steve at the store! I miss being in New York. Norwalk is boring. I have figured out that CT is a drive through state.
Awesome store, I love it! I've always wanted to visit New York...someday perhaps. I've actually visited RF's website after watching one of your vids. I like take-a-tour videos like this, super fun to watch!
I'll probably never get to go there, but it was fun just seeing them walk around the store just the same, since they do mention it frequently after all.
For those of us that are 50+, the music/record store is something we grew up with and miss. We had a great one here in New Haven called Cutler’s and this one looks awesome
If I ever drive/fly to New York someday, I'll have Mr Keeler's store on my to do list! Cool video Pete, I always wondered what Steve's store looked like, I've heard you guys talk about it so much, my vision of what it looked like was pretty close to this video. Very nice!
Doctor Eddie Ganja here Pete great work Love The Sabbath shirt saw The Tour Black Sabbath and Night Ranger Fox Theatre Atlanta Georgia Love The Triumph Shirt kind of a great Forgotten Band Love your show Pete This one really stands out Keep Rocking Black Sabbath and The Guitar playing of Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple and Rainbow to me really got me into Heavy Music and great Guitar and Bill Ward and Ian Paice never got the real credit they deserve
I am from Middletown originally and went to this store a few times. I don't know if it's the same location as when I was there though. I remember it being pretty much pure metal. In fact I remember thinking it should be called Metal Fantasy. That was in the 80s and maybe early 90s. I guess at some point they decided to expand a bit.
I’m lucky to live far away, for the simple reason that I would spend way too much time and money in there!! That said, if I’m ever down that way, I’ll definitely stop in. Thanks for yet another great video Pete & Steve! Cheers 🤘🤘
If you have a store even a fraction like this in your area, do whatever you can to support it. You can do so much better than waste your money with Spotify.
That is the most incredible collection of rock 'n' roll pinball machines I've ever seen. Plus, Witchcraft's "Ghosts House" was playing in the background! Coolest record store ever? New Rush game, I want dat!
My hometown has couple of nice record stores, not like rock fantasy, but nice enough too want to be their long time, Ann Arbor Michigan has awesome record stores also!
I want to see more of RUBY!!!
Digging the 'Pete Around Town' idea. Need more of this. Awesome shop too!
