Off topic: the other day I thought of how Jim Carrey would be a good fit for this podcast and for Harland. They did work together on Dumb and Dumber, but Jim Carrey's energy isn't quite what it used to be. IMO he's gone off the rails. Something about him that he seems to want to destroy his own previous funnyman image.
On topic: Theo on the other hand.. he's just the right match. Theo and and Bobby Lee in a threesome episode would be quite intriguing also.

This is surreal and definitely worth the wait. It's like watching two master chess players play two games at once without boards or any pieces, and they're just shouting moves while having a conversation about another match they just watched.
Perfect description. I feel like it was that while one was trying to wrestle the other out of their clothes but the other didn’t want to because it seemed gay but the first wasn’t gay he was just naked, and only one of them knew the rules of chess the other was just yelling greek letters and roman numerals to appear as though he could speak a chess match, did you get that vibe? I sure didn’t but I got the vibe you would.
Thank God for Harland keeping the Cinnamon Angels, Fly Fly Away Charity in the forefronts of everyone’s mind - not sure why more people don’t have the same empathy for these poor children.
I'm thankful he's still fighting the good fight, even after what his old friend Jeff had done to his legs

I enjoy how Harland holds him in check constantly. Rick has this increasing need these days to try to railroad things and wrestle for control. Harland can always out manipulate him and forcibly make him uncomfortable. Even when he tries desperately to resist it, he just can't. I like watching Rick uncomfortable at not being capable of keeping up.
You do realize that Ricks "wrestle for control" thing on other podcasts is a bit right? He's leaning into the whole LA comic vs NY comic stereotype that people say about him
@@cloudbloom you're an idiot. It's pretty clear what's a bit and what isn't. And in Rick's own words, it's basically always both. Everything I commented on definitely had an element of him legitimately struggling. Not a dig on him either. It's just fun to watch him squirm

Easily the funniest podcast I’ve ever seen. It was absolutely hysterical. Harland is a genius and Rick finally took it on the chin from his equal. The German comic TYSO episode was hilarious as well.

I found Rick two weeks ago and to find this one solidifies how good he is and then double whammy I found hardland this was one of my favorite podcast episode well done men
I've seen Harland in a small handful of things and I just love the man. He's so lovable and funny and playful I think he might be a serial killer. Which is why he asks everyone if they're serial.
Probably the funniest hour of entertainment I have ever witnessed in my life!

Hilarious episode! Rick always comes off as kinda obnoxious on other people’s podcasts, but Harland really made sure this would not be another “Rick Glassman show”.. much to the annoyance of Big Ricky 😂
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of TYSO. When he’s in the comfort of his own home, that’s when his talents come most to fruition. On other podcasts he just tries too hard to make an impression.
Oh and boy are my legs restless!

They were both incredible in this podcast, the playful tug of war for control, constant playing around with interpretations and context, refusal to acknowledge bits and doubling down when one person slips up. Rick's speech about the nuance of trauma and radical acceptance was damned convincing.. The man has a beautiful mind to compartmentalize and create a character's response using his own personal growth as a basis, without giving away the bit.
