Great edit. Also made me realize that this trend doesn't really make sense. It relies on music and projection to create cohesion between characters (and also with the viewer) that isn't really there.

finally, female characters! Tho i dont relate or know most of these, still glad to see a female version. I'd say I see a part of myself in Nina and Tonya. Nina with the repressed feminine sexuality and Tonya's tough life filled with abuse and both of their ambitions, striving to perfect their skills and be recognized in their careers.

This is good but it aint the same. I understand how women can relate to this but men cant. All these girl are crying instead of being cold and collected. The og literally me are about men who are broken and dead but will never show it. They will remain strong and never let the weakman they once were hold them back.
Well there aren't enough woman characters that do that because most female characters are usually centered around their emotions rather than reason.
A Woman who loses everything in her life cries and after that becomes mad. That's why people say beware of woman who has nothing to lose. She might not harm you physically but her toxicity will just hit you.
Female characters would center more around emotion than strength, vice versa for men. Men not showing the fact that they are damaged causes even more damage, just waiting until all the feeling burst out in the firm of anger and violence. A good female 'literally me' would me more about the anger women have after being broken. I guess what I'm saying is it's the same for both gendered characters, they just process those emotions differently.
@Derpy Turkey I am sorry, but that's not true at all. Arthur Fleck wasn't cold and collected. Neither was The Narrator. Hell, even Patrick Bateman cries. It's literally the opposite of what you say. Most of these stories are about men who start out convinced that strength is about controlling emotions, but by the end are consumed by those emotions, and realize they were never, at any point, as strong or as noble they believed. Even when they convinced themselves they were cold and emotionless, they in fact were acting on deep and immense feelings built on false conceptions of masculinity. They explode in anger. They showboat in front of the mirror. They show their brokenness plainly. They are just like you or me, just framed more dramatically. It highlights how masculinity as portrayed in the media literally does not exist anywhere in reality. THAT is what Fight Club is about (written by a gay man, btw).
If you're going to allow yourself to relate to an internet video try to least not interpret it completely backwards.
