Woodturning :Large plate in wood and resin 🤔

- Today I make a large plate made of two different types of wood: sipo and ash, then resin.
The finish is carried out in two stages with first abrasive paste then Carnauba wax enriched with lemon oil.

Aujourd'hui je fabrique une grande assiette composée de deux essences de bois différentes du sipo et du frêne puis de la résine .

It is beautiful...but, my OCD would not allow me to own something like that. There is no 'order' with the colored wood strips...it would drive me bat-sh*t crazy that I could not rearrange them to be in order. Kind of like one tile being positioned wrong in a tile floor, it would drive me nuts! Love your work though and it is gorgeous.
This is precisely the starting point, not to put everything in apparent order.
But in fact if you look closely there is more order than you think, because to create this illusion it was necessary to calculate the positioning of each strips of wood 😊😉
I was thinking the exact same thing. It's not symmetrical, I couldn't handle that.
I've started looking at some of your "older" projects and really enjoyed this one! Liked the other person's joke about it being a "plaid-er!" I'd have to say that it's a VERY ELEGANT plaid you have created with this project. Looking forward to digging into even more of these videos from years past. Thanks, as always, for sharing - Vee

I really liked it but my question is why didn't you make a pattern with the strips on the bottom. You had 4 dark strips on one side and the rest were light wood.
