    WoW!!! What a mall!! That was huge. I have never seen a mall with a roller coaster in it. Thanks for your boldness for Christ and for wearing your shirt proudly proclaiming the truth of the Gospel courageously. I appreciate so much your bold stand and your love for Christ our Savior.

      Thank you so much! I knew we were going to be up there this summer, and after what happened there a few months ago, I knew we had to make sure that we wore a t-shirt that proclaimed Christ when we went. And not trying to be mean to other people there, but you could see the makeup of the crowd. We felt that if they could wear clothing signifying their religion, so could we.
      And yes, it is huge. That's the only mall I know of, with a theme park inside of it.

    We just now watched this video. What a huge place. It would take days to see everything. By the way there is a stadium seat hanging somewhere inside on a wall marking where Harmon Killebrew hit a 520 foot homerun. A plaque marking home plate is at the Nicklelodeon Universe section. We enjoyed watching yall explore the mall.

      Yes, it is a huge mall. We were dead tired that night. We had driven all night to even get to Minnesota, and had just checked into our room and then went to the mall.
      We wanted to do a video there, and we knew we were leaving early the next morning to go to her family's place. That was really our only chance, but I wish we had been able to sleep first.

    I live in Iowa and I would say that a Minnesota dish is what they call a "hot dish." I have seen several different recipes but I think a common one is a tater tot casserole. I think a requirement is that a hot dish has to include a cream of something soup. It is usually a casserole taken to potlucks, church dinners, funeral meals, sick friends, etc.
    If you ever get back this way, let me recommend an Amish community in Iowa called Amana. There are several villages and I thought we had toured them years ago but we actually went into the actual village of Amana this weekend and it was cute. Old, old buildings but I was disappointed because the wineries have taken over the tourism business. But they do have a Christmas store that puts Hobby Lobby to shame. 😂
    Not very traditional Amish either but still a beautiful town. Homestead is another small town on the loop of villages which has very neat, old buildings.

      @NCMemoryMakers  Год назад +1

      Thank you for the suggestion. If we ever get back that way and have time, I'd like to check that out.
      I had heard the term "hot dish" several times, but just didn't know what all it entails. Thanks for the information.
      We came back through Iowa on our way home.

    The Mall of America. where a Black man was ordered by an overweight mall cop to remove his "JESUS SAVES" T-shirt or leave the mall. All because someone was "offended" and complained. When he did not immediately comply, he was threatened with arrest. If I was him my favorite thing to do would be to sue the security guy and the mall for religious discrimination. Apparently, these people haven't been there lately. I'm from Minnesota and I haven't been there for about 4 years and I don't plan on going back. Like Minneapolis, it has become a cesspool. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

    • @NCMemoryMakers
      @NCMemoryMakers  3 месяца назад

      Well, "these people" that you are so politely referring to, are us.
      My wife is from MN, and correct...We haven't been there in over 20 years.
      I mean, I think we literally said that right in the beginning of the introduction/video. You only had to listen that far, to have had your questions answered. You would have known that it had been 21 years since we had been there, and you would have known our reasons for going that night.
      So, that was some outstanding detective work on your part, to figure out we hadn't been there in a while.
      Plus, when you're doing RUclips, you look for good video opportunities. And regardless of what your personal thoughts are on the Mall, it IS a popular video location.
      Honestly, I have no idea what your point even was, with this comment. Nobody is forcing you to go anywhere. We're trying to make a video that will help people plan vacations, and this is one of the things people want to see.
      We are fully aware of how the demographics of Minneapolis, and even other areas of Minnesota, have changed since our last visit.
