You’re right. The “R” line isn’t the same tier level as “RS”.

What Assos Tights would you recommend for the wet fall days in New England? IE 20F - 60F. Also, what bibs would be great in 0F-30F weather? I am still trying to find a great pair. I currently use a set of 45Nrth pants over my winter bibs but would love a single pant.

You could have multiples in those temp ranges… any time you’re dropping below 10C I would suggest going into the Assos Winter product line. Mille Vs Equipe will depend on your body shape (comfort Vs race). I’m really enjoying the GTS product line these days as they seem to be a great value for the Fall pants and would be great for the 8-15C range. But if you’re going well below freezing, look at the Ultraz line as well :)

Do you have some initial riding impressions of these? I have the Mille GT spring/fall knickers and I'm comfortable in them down to about 4C and love their comfort level.

I’m reallllllly liking these. These are a great natural step up in warmth and coverage from the fall gear specifically. They really extended the riding season this year :)

Great overview, thank you. I am looking to replace my Rapha PT tights (which have been excellent), I recently bought the Castelli Sorpasso ROS tight and they do not offer enough warmth (especially at the knee) for me. Looking at Assos, I am unsure between the Equipe RS S9 and the Habu. The Assos website doesn't seem as easy to compare in detail as Castelli for example. Considering the price differs significantly between products, it should be better imo. I'd appreciate your thoughts on how you feel the RS and Habu compare and which you think offers the most weather protection? Thanks again.

Equipe is warmer and a tighter race fit, whereas the Habu is either a winter light, or fall heavy type outfit. What is your typical winter riding temperature? How long are your rides? And what is your general physique?

@@MitchOnTwoWheels I’m 62kg 178cm. I’d be using in 0-6C generally and do want some protection from rain showers. I’d be using on all outdoor rides so 2-6hr. Many of the ads from assos I see seem to promote the Habu for their winter gear so I was just a little unsure. Thanks again.

Habu is the newer version, so it makes sense that they would be promoting it more. In all honesty, you can't go wrong with either. Based on your usage, I would try out the Habu, and spend the extra cash on some winter shoes/gloves to make the overall experience that much more enjoyable... The difference between the kits aren't huge.

What is the minimal temp where you used it comfortably? There's the other assos rs winter bib but the price is crazy on that one even if it looks like it protects more from the elements especially water.
