    Thanks this is cool, I've been really impressed with the M1 from a general laptop plus creative video and photo editing perspective.
    Actually all day battery life for the first time

    Could you share about RAM and CPU usage when few containers are running ? Is 8GB or 16GB MacBook ?

    You sound happy, just like I did when I went over to iMacs. But we will ask you how you feel in a year or so, when like me you absolutely dislike the Apple OS. Continual buggy updates that actually stop programs you need from running. I have now turned updates off to stop this issue. When mine dies it''s back to Microsoft.

      Oh really.. I will disable auto updates now and will keep reporting back.

      There's buggy updates on windows too you know right ? My windows machine can't see my Nas drives since the last year's of Windows updates and no fix exists for it :/

      can't yet. no gpu support, even usb support is still not done. kernel is ported, but that pretty much it at the moment. classic apple.

      @@PeterPetermann Corellium has successfully managed to port linux, but has many limitations at the moment like no GPU, wifi, even though they are ARM processors, they are very different from standard ARM processors, here is an example of Linux on m1 : ruclips.net/video/nIQvbPw3IjA/видео.html
      there is actually an ongoing project called Asahi Linux which aims to port a fully functional linux to m1,
      but for now, it's a bad idea to buy an m1 mac only for the sole purpose of running linux natively

    What a strange series of videos recommended by RUclips. Yours was the last. The one before this one had the same difficulty duplicating the better qualities found on the M1 machines. He kept saying he didn’t know why either. The one before that, when he compared a 2017 MacBook with the M1, the 2017 was better! RUclips must hate the M1 chips, lol.

      Yes I was using swift and Java android before I started flutter.

      @@DroneMesh which is better for you flutter or swift

    • @DroneMesh

      When possible I prefer flutter as I can have an Andorid IOS app at the same time. However it's still good to learn some basic swift to understand debugging issues if any where to arise and also what file does what. Becuase there is still a bit of swift you might need to modify and understand. Including swift packages for flutter.

    Don't get me wrong, I like that they're pushing ARM further but referring to your workflow comment, imo it still kinda looks like gnome

    I find the M1 macs amazing to but there is a big flaw somehow the M1 macs do use the ssd as RAM.... that way the non replacebl ssd dies afer 1 to 2 yars of use witch is sad :(
    But its still a good mac

    • @cinialvespow1054
      @cinialvespow1054 3 года назад

      I don't think the SSD will die in two yeArs. They're rated for way longer than that.

    • @deruhu9163
      @deruhu9163 3 года назад

      Normally that's true they literally can las for ever but there is a limit on how many gb you can write and delete from a ssd (for ram it's more or less unlimited due to different storage techniques) and somehow the M1 macks use the ssd as a slow ram witch means that if you use you M1 mack for for example browsing in safari the ssd gets filled with data which normal the ram handles but because the M1s max Ram size is 16gb and the base is just 8 (2015 level) witch is not a lot (there are smartphones with more RAM) the ssd has to handle a lot of data to keep the websites accessible. In conclusion it means what were 2-3gb on an older mack which were written and deleted got 90gb and if you scale that it quickly becomes clear that this can't be good....
