6 cups of pumice 3 cups of perlite 2 cups of Akadama 3 cups of Vermiculite 2 cups of coco pete w/ charcoal 2 cups of Ramgo soiless seeding mix 2 cups of peat moss mix good
I would like to apologize for the mispronunciation of the word “Succulents” it should be “Suh-kyu-lents” and not “suh-ka-lents”. If I mispronounced other words, I’m really sorry. I will be correcting this on the upcoming videos. In addition, I’ll try to buy some noise reduction microphone, so I can record during daytime and not late at night. This will give me enough time and energy to thoroughly review the recordings before uploading the video. Expect in the upcoming videos that I’ll continue to improve my videos in order to provide quality, and concise contents. I’m open for all the suggestions and constructive criticism. Again, I’m really grateful to your continuous support to my Channel. Maraming salamat! 🙂
you probably dont care but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the new series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks :)
I love asterias, my favourite cactus. Looks like a nice mix for them but probably wouldn’t work well for me in my climate. Maraming salamat po for sharing with us, I’ve subbed 😊👍🏻🌵☀️🌼
Thank you for watching! I uploaded a new video today, hopefully you’ll like it. If you have any suggestions or questions feel free to comment it. Thanks
Yes, you could adjust the soil mix depending on your weather or microclimate. I use vermiculite since I don’t water them a lot, and I have windy location (soil mix dry fast).
Hello, very glad I thank you in advance, first you say thank you for the video that you have prepared, I'm trying to astrophyt cacti growing in Turkey soil mix in the materials you use all of the materials you use in your soil mix I could not understand some of illustratively🙂🏜️
Dear Prince last 3 months I lost a few big Astrophytums with almost similar problem. Very sad yet don't know what was the reason. Hope to hear your input. Condition: turn brown, soft from bottom. 2 of them cracked at the spine. One didn't. I stay in KL and in condominium. These astrophytum were expose to sun just behind the window. Hope to hear from u. Big thanks
Hi, what soil mix are they planted and how frequent do you water? Usually when they turn soft from the bottom it means that they got root rot. Root rot can be due to overwatering or sometimes due to fungal disease in the roots.
For the Ramgo Soilless Seeding Mix, Ramgo Peat moss and Cocopeat with charcoal you can buy them on Ace Hardware, or Handyman. you could also contact Ramgo seeds on Facebook. Peat moss and perlite are also available in Daiso. For the perlite, pumice, and cocopeat you can PM Greener Green on Facebook. For the vermiculite and Akadama I buy them on Quezon City Memorial Circle. You could also order these materials on Shoppee or Lazada.
Thank you for watching! 🙂 You can omit the use of akadama if wala po kayo available since ‘yunh substitute niya ay mas mahirap hanapin (Kanuma, Kiryu). Cocopeat alone is slightly acidic na din po, I just prefer peat moss kasi mas mababa ang pH niya.
Hello. I use a different soil mix for Gymnocalycium. More organic po gamit ko, since Gymno prefer more water. Nasa around 60% inorganic (pumice, lava rocks) and 40% organic (mixture of peat moss, crh, and cocopeat).
Hello, yes it is really up to you. Just change it with other organic material that is available in your area. You can check this video, ruclips.net/video/AyZMVZ9KQHg/видео.htmlsi=_5eBbfWe_Eyd7YMu

Thank you very much for watching!🙂 Yes, you can use this for all kinds of cactus since its gritty and holds enough nutrients and moisture. But I have a cheaper soilmix for general cactus. I’ll be uploading it next week, so better subscriber to our channel to get notified on the latest video. Thanks
Hi! I just want to ask what soil mix to use on 6months old astrophytum seedlings. Gusto ko kasing itransfer na sila after maaclimate. First time kong magsow ng seeds ng cactus and still learning.
Thank you so much for watching! 🙂 For my 6 months old seedlings I use 50-60% cocopeat or peatmoss and 40-50% pumice. More organic since seedlings pa lang sila, pero as they grow older binabawasan ko percentage ng organic matter sa soilmix ko.
Welcome. The amount and frequency of watering depends on the weather, how fast the soilmix can dry, the type of pot and size of pot, or basically maraming factors to consider. One best reminder is to water when the spilmix is dry.
Thank you for watching! They are not that hard to grow. Easy to care succulents as long as you provide them with gritty soilmix and other basic cactus care.
Thank you for watching 🙂 I haven’t tried it yet with succulents. I’ll be making a video about how I make my succulent mix on the upcoming episodes. Please stay tune and subscribe to my channel. Thank you
Hello, you can turn on the subtitles or English caption to see the name of the soil ingredients I used. But sure, I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you for watching. 🙂
I would say just let people know to turn on cc if you want to see the names of plants or materials you use at the beginning of the video. It’s really easy to do and that’s how you make your videos.
Hi question for coco peat and charcoal 😁 Is it 50/50? 50% coco peat and 50% charcoal? And is CRH considered as charcoal? Or charcoal used in grilling? 😅
Thank you for watching! I just buy sa store na premade na. Cocopeat brick siya na May horticulture cahrcoal. The brand is cocogreen. Pero pwede po ‘yung used in grillings as long as walang chemicals na ginamit doon.
Hello, thank you for watching. You can try buying on Shoppee or Lazada. You could also visit Green Zone or Cristal Garden by Maui Cristales on Facebok, they sell high grade akadama.
Thank you for watching! 🙂 Yes, I do have a general soilmix for common cactus. 7 parts pumice, 1 part vermicast, 1 part peatmoss, and 1 part carbonized rice hull or Ramgo soilless.
Thank you for watching! Yes it will survive, I just prefer adding cocopeat since it has a lot of trave elements that it also essential for the cactus to grow.
I just go with sand from the forest and add some rock from construction site to make concrete and some dirt from the garden. works perfectly. There is no chance to get all your ingredients :/
That is his best soil mix for astro, tried and tested na niya and its all available online, sa shopee and lazada mabibili mo na lahat yan. Of course kung gusto makatipid or readily available in case hindi possible delivery sa location niyo tama naman hanap ka na lang ng alternative, don't expect nga lang na same quality ng soil mix mo yung sa soil mix niya.
Thank you for watching! Pumice 3 parts Akadama 1 part Perlite 1.5 part Vermiculite 1.5 part Peat moss 1 part Ramgo Soilless Seeding Mix or Carbonized rice hull 1 part Cocopeat 1 part

3 cups of perlite
2 cups of Akadama
3 cups of Vermiculite
2 cups of coco pete w/ charcoal

mix good

Thank you so much for watching and for your feedback! 🙂
any chance you could post a video on how you repot Ariocarpus fissuratus?
I don’t have Ariocarpus at the moment, but planning to buy some in the future.
hello, I would remove perlite from your mixture as it breaks down over time and vermiculite is too moisture-absorbing...thanks for the video
Yes, you could adjust the soil mix depending on your weather or microclimate. I use vermiculite since I don’t water them a lot, and I have windy location (soil mix dry fast).

Thank you for your recipe 😊. What other species of cactus is this soilmix suitable for?
I use this for my Lophophora and Ariocarpus. Usually for my expensive cacti which are native to Mexico.
Pwede po bang volcanic soil lng pang substitute sa pumice

The akadama with which other material can I replace it
Can I use Klasmann TS3 instead of Ramgo for peat moss?
Hi! Is there any substitute for akadama and is there any other acidic potting material? Thank you very much. ❤️
Yey! Thank you po again. ❤️

Hello. I use a different soil mix for Gymnocalycium. More organic po gamit ko, since Gymno prefer more water. Nasa around 60% inorganic (pumice, lava rocks) and 40% organic (mixture of peat moss, crh, and cocopeat).

Hi! Anong size po yung pumice na ginagamit niyo? 😅

• peatmoss
• soilless medium / carbonized rice hull

From where we buy please send online name
Thank you for watching! You can check Prickly Beauties on Facebook. They sell wide variety of cactus and succulents seeds.
Vermiculite holds water and does not improve drainage.
I just go with sand from the forest and add some rock from construction site to make concrete and some dirt from the garden. works perfectly. There is no chance to get all your ingredients :/

Sorry for that. I use this soil mix for my expensive cactus to make sure that they grow healthy. You can use a mixture of 70% inorganic (pumice, lava rocks, or any gritt) and 30% organic
