I'm not a woman, but personally I think this song should be dedicated to anyone male or female, or child who is fighting cancer. I had it when I was 17 back in 96. I'm blessed today to be almost 38 and cancer free 19yrs. My family and friends were there for me and loved me through it.
22 year old pregnant sister was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive Breast cancer exactly a year ago. Since then she had a double masectomy(day after diagnosis), 6 chemo treatments and gave birth 3 months ago to an amazing little boy we call Lucky. She is now cancer free and is getting reconstructive surgery tomorrow! Xoxoxo

I went through cancer in 2022,. After 6 rounds of chemo, hair loss 36 lbs lost. I was cleared in Feb 2023. I'm still not working due to chronic pain. The one person that was my constant is my fiance he was amazing working 12 hrs shifts still taking care of me. Then we lost his mom Oct 2023 from radiation complications. This summer we are getting married she would be so happy. Thank you for a wonderful song.❤

I can feel for ya as Im battling cancer for the 2nd time, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2012 and had chemo , radiation , and then surgery. I did great til 2015 (March) and it came back, this time it metasized to my lungs but im pushing. Just had a birthday yesterday and God gave me another yr.
I beat bowel cancer & now fighting stomach, bladder & lymph node cancer, I'm not even 30 yet. It's exhausting, but I have an amazing boyfriend who makes me laugh everyday even when I want to cry.. He's the best ❤️

It’s been a tough 5 years, my mom battled stage 4 pancreatic cancer and beat it, then she had Covid-19 and her lungs got damaged really bad that her lungs became rigid and not much elasticity. She was in a coma for a few weeks, but now she’s recovering slowly. I’m thankful to God and my step father for helping along the way. She’s a fighter and making progress slowly. Even if it’s painful to watch it has been a blessing and a teaching moment. Praying for all you who are suffering. God bless, stay safe and stay positive during life’s difficult moments.

My Mother just got diagnosed with breast cancer. We have a very rocky relationship, but talked for 3.5 hours today. Please hold her in prayer. I love my Mom so much ❤🙏❤ *****UPDATE****** Turns out my Mother was telling a huge lie. She reeled me back in with the lie of having cancer. Attempted to use me for things & then told me over & over how much of a regret i am to her. She no longer talks to me.
I was just diagnosed with breast cancer a few days ago. I’m having a double mastectomy on Monday and will chemo afterwards sometime. I am so thankful for my husband. I couldn’t do this without him.
my mom was diagnosed with cancer back in 85 and at the time she was raising her sister and a year later her and my dad adopted my brother and at some point between then and 1990 she won her battle with cancer but the docters told her due to the cancer she would never be able to have children then one day mom was showing signs of being pregnant and she thought it was something else so she went to the docters and thats when they told her your gonna have a baby and thats when i came into the world
When I first heard this song, it REALLY hit home... In late 1993 my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She was 38 with three minor daughters, just like the lady in this song. What followed was nine months of intensive chemo (normal for this disease is typically three to five months), and yeah, it's just as bad as they say. About the only good thing I can say about it is that I don't have to speak of her in the past tense. She was here to see high school and university graduations, the births of our three grandsons, and lots of little things that mean so much. It goes without saying that we think her oncologist walks on water. He is still my primary care doc. She also was around to be there for me when I was in a serious auto accident less than a year after her chemo ended. Over two months on a ventilator, the first month and a half in a medically induced coma. Total of 3 1/2 months in the hospital. We refer to this period as our year in hell, and the period when I was comatose as my time in LaLa land. Update: This video still makes me tear up. Not he only Martina song to do this, the end of "God's Will" is one, and then there is "Concrete Angel". One of my favorite songs of all time, if this video does not tear your heart out, you may not have one. Oh, and I need to update that grandson count, our youngest daughter Melanie just had her second last Friday.

Same! My aunt also had cancer, I can't rememeber what kind of cancer she had, but she did have it. This song is for my aunt too! I never really thought about that until now, me and my aunt were really close, she was the most closest family member I was mostly close too. I’m going through this now as of September 12th,2021 I was diagnosed with 3 types of cancer, & I just found out this week that it’s another place of my body. I’ve had no treatments, because I don’t have health insurance and I don’t qualify for Medicaid, so I’m fighting this disease day by day. As of today it’s been 184 days since my diagnosis & no treatments. But I still believe in believe in miracles! God bless everyone that has had this disease and fought and overcame this. I hope to be one of these people.
Went through this in 2015, had the most wonderful, loving, caring man who took care of me and all my Dr's appointments and plastic surgeon and my son's and parents. I had to sleep in a recliner and he slept on the loveseat every night, love him more than any man in the world 15 years together and going strong.

Always loved Martina, but this song, i cant say how much it helped me 12 yrs ago with breast cancer treatments and radiation, almost not able to finish them, and again 2023, now with 2 thyroid cancers. Dont give up. My daughter took me to Martina's Christmas concert in Milwaukee in 2013 i believe it was, and i cried through the whole song.... I'm 70yrs old. I got my breast cancer on 4/15/11 Surgery was 5/3/11 & Had implants put in after my double mastectomy. 6 weeks later had to have them removed. I was 58 at the time. Luckily I didn't have chemo or radiation since the double mastectomy. MARTINAS SONG 11 CAME OUT THAT FALL. IT SAVED MY LIFE HEARING IT. I WENT CAMP BLUEBIRD IN TN. I HAD SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! This song hits home for me as I am an in Home caregiver and have seen some of the strongest people battle for their life as they thank me. It is the most humbling job. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 3 and my brother was 6. She beat cancer while taking care of two young kids and a terminally ill mother-in-law. My dad was good at supporting her but it just goes to show how strong she is. I'm 23 now and my brother is 26. My parents stayed together through thick and thin. Now my mom is Cancer free. My dad and my other relatives loved her through it.

Nobody will ever understand how much this song means to me as a daughter of a single mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer last January. She is the most amazing person I've ever met. She not only took care of me and my brother, but took in my brothers best friend who's family went homeless when he was 16. Now they have both moved out, but I am 19 living at home with her and can't imagine life without her. I've dropped classes at College to make sure I can get her to all of her appointments on time. An old friend of my mom had breast cancer, it was diagnosed soo late so they couldn't do anything about it, and told her she'll live a few weeks more if she was so strong.. She lived 16 years after before dying.. so just love your grandmother and have faith in God and everything's gonna be okay ❤I hope she'll get well soon ♡♡

Very simple, they feel it does not reflect on them, and honestly do not care for others the way the song suggests. There are true heros. Think any cancer survivor knows just how special it is to be cured. Those not experiencing it have no idea. Your right it hardly deserves any dislike. it tells it like it is. Think alot of people are very afraid of that. Prayers they never get that call. Trust me when it comes your life seems so short. The song says it all and more.

I watched my mom go thru cancer. She lived 3 years in pain and agony. She had been thru Cobalt treatments that had sucked all the water from her body. I had not seen her in 30 years. She came out of nowhere to stay near me and my family. We welcomed her and stayed by her .
Cancer free...was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2017...Three little words has forever changed my life “ You have Cancer”...after 12 bouts of chemo and 32 bouts of radiation...I am Cancer free...still has to take cancer prevention pills every day and infusions every 6 months...And honestly I will not be here if it wasn’t for my husband...without his care and love and attention I am positive there would of been a different outcome...because there were times I simply could not of gotten out of bed..Chemo strips you of everything mentally and physically...and radiation then completes the vicious cycle taking from you when your body had nothing left to give...I was so weak ..I couldn’t walk...and was mentally too tired to talk....and then I heard this song...what a beautiful song..no words...

❤ hug to you. I really learned after my breast cancer diagnosis in December 2022 that I have No true friends, and my aunt hasn't spoken to me since before my surgery. When I told her she said now her at (87) and her daughter (60) have to worry if they might get it. She said she was glad my mom had passed so she didn't have to worry about me. I texted her a week after my surgery and she replied back there's nothing happy to talk about anymore with me, that's why she didn't call me. One of my son's have been there for me. I don't like having to put so much on him. I'm married for 24 years although, it's more like we are roommates that have our own rooms. He isn't there for me mentally or like a husband should be. I also just had to put my fur baby (like a daughter to me) down last Thursday, she would of been 17 in October. My heart is broken, I'm now so lonely. I pray you are doing well and that you found someone to be there for you.

I lost my bestie at 38 with 2 kids....4 months and 6 years. She was an angel with a great fight! Now we are left to remind her boys of what love and support is. Her husband may miss her but the aunties will be all they need.

I found out I have breast cancer and I will need a mastectomy. Omg how I cried and still crying. I will be loosing something that I have had for 54 years of my life. I don't even know what the pathology report will say. I don't want to die! I wish this wasn't happening. I feel like Im in a bad dream. I can't say the C word. I do know I have a lot of people that are praying for me, and thank you so much for caring for me.

They are there with there love to help you in any way that you need while you go through this journey. No matter the type of cancer it is always so hard but faith and love will see you through it. Last May right before Mother's Day my doctor told me that I have cervical cancer. All I could do was break down and cry. I had to call my son and the rest of my family. At that point I didn't want to live anymore and my son played this song for me and all I could do is cry. He tells me everyday he will love me through it. Still fighting but I'm hanging in there...

I had never met my aunt Barbara, and we drove to Michigan from Alabama! I met her and it was as if I had known her all my life! I look and act so very much like my aunt! She passed away 1 month after we came back home! I thank God every day for him, allowing me to meet her! 🙏

This song means so much to me and my mother. This song came out about 2 or 3 months after my mom was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer. I wish I could tell you in person how much this song meant to her and our family. My mom was 37 when she was diagnosed and she at three kids like the song , even though the women was 38 in the song,. I was told over the phone I had cancer in 2016. I was 41yrs old. I have 3 kids and 1 granddaughter. I lost my mom 2yrs before. This song helped a lot when I just wanted to give up. It reminded me that I needed to fight for my husband and kids .

i cant describe how incredibly sweet this is. My grandma was fighting cancer the night we lost her was the day the whole family fell apart but, we did really love her through it. So to me this song reminds me alot of her. And she also taught me that you can always be strong, no matter what.
My wife had a cancer scare at the beginning of 2020. When they told us it wasn’t cancerous I cried more than her. Every ounce of strength I had was spent loving and supporting her and now I can keep on loving her for the rest of our lives.

Since then she had a double masectomy(day after diagnosis), 6 chemo treatments and gave birth 3 months ago to an amazing little boy we call Lucky. I went through cancer in 2022,. After 6 rounds of chemo, hair loss 36 lbs lost. I was cleared in Feb 2023. I'm still not working due to chronic pain. The one person that was my constant is my fiance he was amazing working 12 hrs shifts still taking care of me. Then we lost his mom Oct 2023 from radiation complications. This summer we are getting married she would be so happy. Thank you for a wonderful song.❤

I can feel for ya as Im battling cancer for the 2nd time, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2012 and had chemo , radiation , and then surgery. It’s been a tough 5 years, my mom battled stage 4 pancreatic cancer and beat it, then she had Covid-19 and her lungs got damaged really bad that her lungs became rigid and not much elasticity. She was in a coma for a few weeks, but now she’s recovering slowly. I’m thankful to God and my step father for helping along the way. She’s a fighter and making progress slowly. Even if it’s painful to watch it has been a blessing and a teaching moment. Praying for all you who are suffering. God bless, stay safe and stay positive during life’s difficult moments.

my mom was diagnosed with cancer back in 85 and at the time she was raising her sister and a year later her and my dad adopted my brother and at some point between then and 1990 she won her battle with cancer but the docters told her due to the cancer she would never be able to have children then one day mom was showing signs of being pregnant and she thought it was something else so she went to the docters and thats when they told her your gonna have a baby and thats when i came into the world

I was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 1st, 2011. A friend dedicated this is to me at work. I remain cancer free! 💗
When I first heard this song, it REALLY hit home... In late 1993 my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She was 38 with three minor daughters, just like the lady in this song. What followed was nine months of intensive chemo (normal for this disease is typically three to five months), and yeah, it's just as bad as they say. About the only good thing I can say about it is that I don't have to speak of her in the past tense. She was here to see high school and university graduations, the births of our three grandsons, and lots of little things that mean so much. It goes without saying that we think her oncologist walks on water. He is still my primary care doc.
She also was around to be there for me when I was in a serious auto accident less than a year after her chemo ended. Over two months on a ventilator, the first month and a half in a medically induced coma. Total of 3 1/2 months in the hospital. We refer to this period as our year in hell, and the period when I was comatose as my time in LaLa land.
Update: This video still makes me tear up. Not he only Martina song to do this, the end of "God's Will" is one, and then there is "Concrete Angel". One of my favorite songs of all time, if this video does not tear your heart out, you may not have one.
Oh, and I need to update that grandson count, our youngest daughter Melanie just had her second last Friday.

I never really thought about that until now, me and my aunt were really close, she was the most closest family member I was mostly close too. I’m going through this now as of September 12th,2021 I was diagnosed with 3 types of cancer, & I just found out this week that it’s another place of my body. I’ve had no treatments, because I don’t have health insurance and I don’t qualify for Medicaid, so I’m fighting this disease day by day. As of today it’s been 184 days since my diagnosis & no treatments. But I still believe in believe in miracles! God bless everyone that has had this disease and fought and overcame this. Always loved Martina, but this song, i cant say how much it helped me 12 yrs ago with breast cancer treatments and radiation, almost not able to finish them, and again 2023, now with 2 thyroid cancers. Dont give up. My daughter took me to Martina's Christmas concert in Milwaukee in 2013 i believe it was, and i cried through the whole song.... I'm 70yrs old. I got my breast cancer on 4/15/11 Surgery was 5/3/11 & Had
implants put in after my double mastectomy. 6 weeks later had to have them removed. I was 58 at the time. Luckily I didn't have chemo or radiation since the double mastectomy. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 3 and my brother was 6. She beat cancer while taking care of two young kids and a terminally ill mother-in-law. My dad was good at supporting her but it just goes to show how strong she is. I'm 23 now and my brother is 26. My parents stayed together through thick and thin. Now my mom is Cancer free. My dad and my other relatives loved her through it.

Helps me get through my cancer treatments. This song says exactly how I felt/feel with multiple surgeries and chemo. When you're so young and don't have a partner in a big city by yourself, it's hard to get through it.

An old friend of my mom had breast cancer, it was diagnosed soo late so they couldn't do anything about it, and told her she'll live a few weeks more if she was so strong.. She lived 16 years after before dying.. so just love your grandmother and have faith in God and everything's gonna be okay ❤I hope she'll get well soon ♡♡

This song has meant so much to me. I am a cancer survivor. It comes back I fight. I know one day I won't make it but the time I'm given I'll take. My husband gave me this song and he truly loves me through it. If not for the love of my family and friends I wouldn't be here today but most of all the love and strength God has blessed me with. Very simple, they feel it does not reflect on them, and honestly do not care for others the way the song suggests. There are true heros. Think any cancer survivor knows just how special it is to be cured. Those not experiencing it have no idea. Your right it hardly deserves any dislike. it tells it like it is. Think alot of people are very afraid of that. Prayers they never get that call. Trust me when it comes your life seems so short. The song says it all and more.

I watched my mom go thru cancer. She lived 3 years in pain and agony. She had been thru Cobalt treatments that had sucked all the water from her body. I had not seen her in 30 years. She came out of nowhere to stay near me and my family. We welcomed her and stayed by her .
Cancer free...was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2017...Three little words has forever changed my life “ You have Cancer”...after 12 bouts of chemo and 32 bouts of radiation...I am Cancer free...still has to take cancer prevention pills every day and infusions every 6 months...And honestly I will not be here if it wasn’t for my husband...without his care and love and attention I am positive there would of been a different outcome...because there were times I simply could not of gotten out of bed..Chemo strips you of everything mentally and physically...and radiation then completes the vicious cycle taking from you when your body had nothing left to give...I was so weak ..I couldn’t walk...and was mentally too tired to talk....and then I heard this song...what a beautiful song..no words...

I really learned after my breast cancer diagnosis in December 2022 that I have No true friends, and my aunt hasn't spoken to me since before my surgery.
When I told her she said now her at (87) and her daughter (60) have to worry if they might get it. She said she was glad my mom had passed so she didn't have to worry about me.
I texted her a week after my surgery and she replied back there's nothing happy to talk about anymore with me, that's why she didn't call me.
One of my son's have been there for me. I don't like having to put so much on him. I'm married for 24 years although, it's more like we are roommates that have our own rooms.
He isn't there for me mentally or like a husband should be.
I also just had to put my fur baby (like a daughter to me) down last Thursday, she would of been 17 in October.
My heart is broken, I'm now so lonely.
I pray you are doing well and that you found someone to be there for you.

I lost my bestie at 38 with 2 kids....4 months and 6 years. She was an angel with a great fight! Now we are left to remind her boys of what love and support is. Her husband may miss her but the aunties will be all they need.
My mama loved this song she said it gave her strength to get through her day sadly it's been three almost four years since she passed away the cancer had already spread by the time they cought it
I found out I have breast cancer and I will need a mastectomy. Omg how I cried and still crying. I will be loosing something that I have had for 54 years of my life. I don't even know what the pathology report will say. I don't want to die! I wish this wasn't happening. I feel like Im in a bad dream. I can't say the C word. I do know I have a lot of people that are praying for me, and thank you so much for caring for me.

They are there with there love to help you in any way that you need while you go through this journey. No matter the type of cancer it is always so hard but faith and love will see you through it. My husband goes in December to find out if he is in remission so the journey is still fresh with us. I learned how much I love him when we got the news. Again prayers and love being sent your way.

The love of my life was recently diagnosed and this song is my mantra now. Thank you for singing what I wanted to say.
Last May right before Mother's Day my doctor told me that I have cervical cancer. All I could do was break down and cry. I had to call my son and the rest of my family. At that point I didn't want to live anymore and my son played this song for me and all I could do is cry. He tells me everyday he will love me through it. Still fighting but I'm hanging in there...
I just found out my best friend of 12 years has cancer. He has been there for me through a lot. He has been there for me through everything, but I hate that he has to go through all this. Prayers would be great. He has surgery tomorrow and I pray that he gets through it. It sucks because tomorrow is also his 18th birthday as well. Prayers needed. 9-25-2016

I had never met my aunt Barbara, and we drove to Michigan from Alabama! I met her and it was as if I had known her all my life! I look and act so very much like my aunt! She passed away 1 month after we came back home! I thank God every day for him, allowing me to meet her! 🙏

This song means so much to me and my mother. This song came out about 2 or 3 months after my mom was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer. I wish I could tell you in person how much this song meant to her and our family. My mom was 37 when she was diagnosed and she at three kids like the song , even though the women was 38 in the song,. It felt like this song was meant for mom. It was kinda ironic that the song came out right then. My mom is now almost 5 years cancer free, it will be 5 years in June. Thanks to God and her amazing doctors!

I was told over the phone I had cancer in 2016. I was 41yrs old. I have 3 kids and 1 granddaughter. I lost my mom 2yrs before. This song helped a lot when I just wanted to give up. It reminded me that I needed to fight for my husband and kids .

Thank you for this song. Cancer sucks. My six year old granddaughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Thank God she is almost finished with her treatments and is now a healthy cancer free 9 year old!

i cant describe how incredibly sweet this is. My grandma was fighting cancer the night we lost her was the day the whole family fell apart but, we did really love her through it. So to me this song reminds me alot of her. And she also taught me that you can always be strong, no matter what.

My wife had a cancer scare at the beginning of 2020. When they told us it wasn’t cancerous I cried more than her. Every ounce of strength I had was spent loving and supporting her and now I can keep on loving her for the rest of our lives.
