Pm 2 comes in left hand option. This is the best well thought through review I have seen in a long time. THANK YOU

Maxamet more recently, I'm not aware of any MagnaCut versions yet, just the PM2 came out in the Salt option so far.

My Para3 LW is my EDC despite the fact that I have a 200 pocket knife collection.

Sage 5 lw smokes the Para3 in my opinion of course. I have a bunch of them and lightweights but don’t use them. I’m on a bigger knife kick lately so I’m edc’ing a police 4 lw K390 serrated or Military 2 and a Native 5 lw serrated MagnaCut. Good review 👍🏻

Does spyderco heat treat magnacut well? K390 is my jam, but in PNW, I need something stainless for winter.

@@diezelvh4133 I would say spyderco and Chris reeve would do magnacut the best only my opinion tho

@@diezelvh4133 From what I’ve read. Dr.Larrin Thomas the engineer behind MagnaCut , it can be heat treated in a wide range from 61-65 hrc. It’s pretty much the next biggest thing since s30v was made for knives. Tough as cpm4v and as corrosion resistance like cpm S45vn. I’m my limited use in a Spyderco Native 5 lw serrated edge it has been great.

I have the para 3 in the same colors as the one in this video in S45vn. and it's good and or excellent. my only issue is the way I carry it in my pocket the jimping behind the spyder-hole wore on my pocket.
I also have the microjimbo which is a similar "slightly" smaller blade from Spyderco without jimping but still a good grip because of the handle shape in S30v which is an older steel but still a good steel for everday use.
I would carry both since they are both smaller knives.
I now* wear Tru-Spec pants which are pricey but durable and have extra pockets designed to better carry knives, flashlights than average pants at work (retail stocking setting breaking down pallets unloaded from delivery trucks).

I much prefer the Para3 LightWeight. The FRN scales have far more comfortable ergos because of their contours, and the LW is significantly lighter, with a far better default pocket clip carry position. Imo, the standard Para3 is a small knife which carries like a full-sized knife. I’d rather just carry a PM2 instead. Ymmv

i really wish benchmade would wake up and move to coil springs for their locks and stop price gouging
