EN | Bosch Side View Assist - keeping an eye on the blind spot

Bosch is launching the new Side View Assist -- the world's first ultrasonic-based system for monitoring the blind spot. It is a dangerous situation most drivers will be familiar with: you activate the turn signal to change lanes, glance in the rear-view and exterior mirrors, maybe even glance briefly over your left shoulder -- only to find a blaring horn gives you the fright of your life as you are moving over to the left. The Bosch Side View Assist alerts drivers efficiently to approaching vehicles in the blind spot in this critical situation.

It should also give an extra loud audible warning if they fail to signal and will hit or almost hit another vehicle. I see it all too often with people who never signal and they think that everyone can read their mind.

All Voice, no beeping? Voice tells the driver how many feet, inches away that the vehicle is from your vehicle. Drivers side approaching vehicle / passenger side approaching vehicle with beep as the vehicle gets closer , 1 foot continuous beep. Sounds like a great idea huh?? Some dumb people drive without lights on at night , sad but true!! This isn't 2010 anymore, we want cool ways of knowing, vibration mini motors in the seats, one on one left cheek and the other one on the right cheek of our ass cheeks in case the radio is too loud you can feel the vehicle getting closer!! LOL

The side view assist system reduces the risk of accidents during lane changes by monitoring the dangerous blind spot area. If another vehicle is situated in the monitored area, the driver is alerted to the potential danger by means of a warning sign in the side mirror. If the driver fails to spot or ignores this warning and activates the turn signal to change lanes, the system can also trigger an audible warning. The car manufacturer implementing our system also can uses various other available options as voice or vibration warning.
