Hey, today's AMV is all about the Ackerman's, especially Mikasa and Levi.
Their blood carries a strong resistance to mental controls through the Titan abilities. This allows them to maintain their independence and resist the will of the Titans, especially the King Titans.
Originally, they were loyal to the queens of the kingdom of Eldia and served as their bodyguards. Due to their special abilities and loyalty, they were considered a powerful line of warriors.
However, the family fell out of favour when the King of Eldia decided to limit the power of his subjects through the so-called "Royal Will". This led to the Ackermans, including those who had previously been loyal servants, rebelling against the Royal Will.
Most members of the Ackerman family were persecuted and suppressed as a result. It is implied that their special abilities, including immunity to mental control, are a result of experiments conducted on the family.
