    • @michaelbird3226
      @michaelbird3226  4 года назад

      At the beginning of the video i mention the baits we were using, fish . Most of the fish caught on mackie and rag, trout was on mackie.

    Just goes to show, you don’t have to be far out to catch fish.tight lines

    • @michaelbird3226
      @michaelbird3226  4 года назад

      That is the truth i know fishing of harbours close in can more often than not get you a fish, and the same seems to be true of beaches.

    • @jrl623
      @jrl623 4 года назад +1

      @@michaelbird3226 yes, we have all sorts of flatties, but the elusive flounder is very hard to catch here, you can catch a few during winter time mainly

    Flounders should be treated like halibut or turbot for their flavour! Its just they are so shallow its hard to get commercial with them!
    #flounder's

    • @michaelbird3226
      @michaelbird3226  3 года назад

      If they can catch plaice commercially i don't see why they can't catch flounder the same way. I find flounder that feed around muddy areas can have a tinge of mud in their taste..

    • @Fox7466
      @Fox7466 3 года назад

      @@michaelbird3226 I really enjoyed my flounder, no tinges detected. :)

      @@michaelbird3226 I was a river fisher for years and went to sea to avoid a spot of bother. First day out I encountered the whole river leven run bottled on the beaches. A sea trout a cast and no waiting between casts. I was fuming and left pissed after all those years of river fishing. I fish well out their way these days.
