The new version of the opening is done by Back-On and Flow, and it's the second half of the song iirc. I can't remember the last time an opening got updated so much this early in the season, not only with the vocals but all the new visuals too of the rider trio and Guy Fieri/Daybreak (which is listed as Daybrake in the magazines, odd spelling choice). He (Geryon) really does resemble The Animeman now that you mention it again, that's fun and this is like the third time in the show someone just waltzed in casually to someone's base/territory. Also I do believe the Revice Movie/Battle Royale was canon in Geats since Ace had flashbacks of the movie when the Desire Royale started in the show proper.
Seconding everything you said about Spanner and Prof.Kyoka, I like the softer side talking with her brings out of him. Them playing chess was a neat touch and I can't help but wonder if that's why his pre-finisher phrase is "Checkmate"? Very curious about the past incident they mentioned and hope we get to see that either as flashbacks or a side special.
Can't say I was expecting that Prof.Minato was going to become a rider by willingly using the Dreadriver, I can dig it though. My favoritism is heavily in play, I am hoping that it isn't brainwashing and due to the conversation that we don't see between him and Spanner that this is part of a ruse to outplay the Association and the Sisters+TheAnimeman. I know I'm reaching with that one but that's my hope.
if they change the theme song for this change of arc, I wonder if they’ll do it for the other ones as well? Could there be something about empathy and trusting people and getting into places you don’t belong maybe probably not that seems like a little bit of a reach
I think it’s going to become clearer and clear, just how much kyokahas an impact on spanner because of the checkmate and other things and also just seems like she’s the older sister that raised them after the big tragic thing that happened .
it all being a ruse could also work too so right now we got three possibilities either, its brainwashing. It’s a deliberate ruse or he was fully convinced and he’s just a bad guy now. I wonder what it will be
I honestly cannot wait to see where this show goes with the teacher. I think it's brutally obvious that he is being mind control but quite frankly just because I can predict something doesn't make that aspect bad at all.
you know, the more I think about it the more I kind of don’t want him to be brainwashed or mind whammy. I think it’d be really interesting for the theme of empathy and everything that the bad guy was just able to pray on professor Minatos empathy to become a bad guy. He says things along the lines of this is too dangerous for the kids. This could get them hurt, and professor Minato like you know what this is getting dangerous let me get them out of the situation. is that a perfect motive no but I think it could be really interesting to play with that in this empathetic world we’ve set up.

I won’t lie when I saw a picture of Minato with the dread driver the day before subs came out I screamed lmao I love that my boy has finally gotten a rider form. However considering he is dread I wonder if he is mind controlled or not, I’m leaning towards not being mind controlled considering it seems like he knows master Gryon (if that’s how you spell his name lol) so I think Minato was persuaded to join him in one way or another. Overall 8.5/10

yeah, though the moon Malgum feels like an upgrade even though it’s body is just the same thing but painted gold. It does feel impressive and I do like how one of his arm is just the golden head drooling

Still annoys me how the new Riders debuted in the movie rather than the series itself.
The Malgam being found by using a chilli pepper on his hiding spot feels like something you'd see in a Sentai series. The sort of goofiness is common in that more light-hearted franchise.
