10 MONTH UPDATE: I still stick by everything Ive said in this video. I don’t use these products anymore and found myself almost wanting more long term results from them. Whilst they all have a great ‘instant result’ look to them, there’s nothing that sets them apart from more affordable alternatives. The moisturiser is still a fave of mine but I’m not rushing out to re buy it.
Even when she did her skincare routine video she was definitely someone who was more into skincare then most celebrities who come out with skincare brands. I respect her a lot more.
I found it intriguing that her products had very typical Brazilian ingredients (Açai, Cupuaçu and Babassu). So I looked it up and found out she's half Brazilian. The ingredients make total sense now lol
After 8 long years of battling with insecurities, low self-esteem, with constant fear of the knowledge I could infect someone with HSV 1&2 was a nightmare to me. I'm so glad/grateful that I am over Herpes and its stigma permanently! All thanks to Dr. Aloha ruclips.net/channel/UC_YFEEZEr1BxGkNg1d4vqww ❤️🙏🏻🍃
I don’t mind the simple sleek packaging, I just wish it was a different color besides gray. And I don’t really care about who is making a skincare line so long as the products are quality and give the results they advertise.
I also think the packaging was meant for a unisex look too ! But I think we will see more colors in the future. I think they are just trying to show everyone that anyone with any skin type can use it and try it out.
@@taegan1831 rem isn’t the first brand to do grey packaging and rhode won’t be the last. Remember that everyone was saying rem was copying all the packaging details from another brand. With something so basic it’s hard to be original.
In one of Hailey‘s older skin care get ready with me videos from a few years back she was using a Peptide serum from a brand called Biba Los Angeles and emphasized how important She felt peptides are in skin care. Seems like the brand is developed around ingredients she stands by as opposed to those that are just trendy. Ive always been pretty indifferent to her as a celebrity but I love her approach in launching this line and thoroughly appreciate how creative and raw the team is in their branding. I too was all about sexualizing the watermelon lip product
This stuff has ruined people's faces!!!! She doesn't know what's in her stuff. No warnings of nut in the products and we DON'T need to sexualuze women anymore than they are. What's wrong with you. Kinda CREEPY
Even Hailey’s signature makeup look is very minimal, light, clean, skin focused, which just further reiterates how much she loves her skincare, and how important the health of her skin is to her. Skincare is definitely a passion of hers I can tell. She doesn’t want to bury her skin in makeup and powders, she wants her skin to speak for itself. Just ordered my first Rhode products during their restock! Very excited to try!
Agreed!!!! I love how she wear little to no makeup and her skin looks flawless and dewy that’s exactly how I love to look considering I don’t really wear makeup let alone loads of it also might have to try her skincare
Hailey has been saying for years that her and her mum wanted to make a skincare line because they’re really passionate about it but she wanted to be educated first and do it right. I saw this in many interviews from up to 4 years ago! Definitely not an overnight cash grab or hopping on a trend x
Hailey actually took classes & did research during the pandemic simply because she loves skincare that much. I think that actually says a lot, she didn’t just get a bunch of people & slap her name on a product. I think she had a lot of heart with the brand & wants people to have great skin.
Exactly! And yet still people hate on her for doing a skin care brand while other celebrities don’t even give a shit about skin care, yet still do one and then get hyped for it
I feel like hailey bieber seems like a generally very nice person i just like her and the brand really fits her. The kinda simple clean girl brand. And i think she deserves a chance. Fenty did well, rare beauty did well maybe rhode is next
Rare and Fenty are mainly makeup…. Can’t compare . It’s just because celebs make it …. Ya Fenty has a couple skincare products (that arent great imo) but I get the feeling Rhode will be skin care based …
@@rosemartin4398 actually I love fenty beauty's fat water. I cant talk about their other products. I use it under sunscreen (pretty humid and hot here)
What makes me said about this brand are the ingredients from the Amazon forest. Açai, cupuaçu e babaçu. I just hope they’re being sourced from a naturally grown and sustainable plantation that also pays the workers well. I am fro Pará in Brazil, the place where this ingredients come from, and let me tell you all they’re usually sourced from not sustainable farms that also have very bad working conditions.
Yeah good point! They have minimal information on this on their website but do talk about sustainability sourced ingredients. Would be good to know more!
She half Brazilian, I doubt she'll get this particular ingredients in a bad way, cause how ever she gets it would affect her roots, culture etc. With time we'll know but right now, I just expect the best.
@@florencembah2626 I'm not condemning, I'm just saying, if they took the time and spent the money to source ethically, they would state it. It's just good business.
Love how you literally address everything from your views on celebrities to peptides to the products! I always wait for your reviews before purchasing and I’m definitely doing to be trying Rhode now. Thank you for all you do James!!!!
Ive tried two of the products from the line and the lip treatment was bomb - seriously great formulation. The moisturizer is good but despite a ton of claims that it is sensitive skin friendly, I started getting clogged pores on my cheeks a couple days into using it. I'm still interested in the line but I'll be a bit hesitant with some of the future launches
It’s possible you may be allergic to something. Just because people are allergic to nuts doesn’t make peanut butter a bad product. Skincare may be made for all „skin types“ but still not fit all individuals. That’s why Rhode says to check with your derm
I don't know why people are mentioning an allergic reaction when you just noticed clogged pores. I'd ignore those comments because clogged pores has more to do with how the products warm s and sinks into the skin, so not something patch testing would help with. Sometimes "sensitive" formulas have more peptides in them and that can cause the product to sit on the skin and not absorb fully to help protect skin. Do you use it under makeup or put it on before you go to bed? I had 2 lotions do the same thing and it went away once I cleansed it off the following morning..
Sensitive skin doesn’t have anything to do with clogging pores. Sensitive skin is getting irritation from a product like redness, burning, stinging etc.
@@danicee that’s super interesting thanks for sharing! I feel like the other comments just wanted to rush to defend rhode even tho this person didn’t say anything bad about them lmaooo
How is "clogging pores" related to allergies? Those are two completely different things! Not even a patch test can determine if a product will clog your pores or not. These replies are funky. Seems like they weren't actually responding to the criticism, they were trying to defend the brand at all costs.
I think 3 products is a perfect amount for a lanuch tbh, then you actually have a decent oppertunity to try them all and get a impression of the brand as a whole, and how their products and formula in general works for you and your skin😋
To be honest, I'd never heard of the fashion brand until I googled Rhode skincare. I clicked on the first link and visited the clothing website for the first time. While it sucks that it's the same name, awareness of Hailey's skincare brought traffic to the Rhode clothing brand's website... at least from me... It might help their brand awareness overall! It's not the same market so it's not competing. I also loved the simple launch. It's truly a well-rounded routine (as long as you add retinol 😉). I feel like it's everything you need!
The company is working to expand into skincare. I just hate seeing a female owned business that was built from the ground up be bulldozed by a celebrity worth millions. Hailey tried to get them to give up their name. It is extremely elitist.
Apparently, the brand did get high traffic but after making orders, people returned them when they realized that it wasn’t from Hailey. The brand lost so much money because of this, according to them. It did more bad for them than good (according to them)
@@DesireUba Super odd that people would go through an entire checkout process without realizing what they're actually buying lol. Totally believe that though.
This is the ONLY new skincare line I’m excited to try. It being Hailey’s is incidental, really. She and her team seem to have really zeroed in on, as you said, PRECISELY what we all want in our skincare right now. I like having one ingredient products but I am finding that I am wanting to have really efficacious products that will give me good combinations of treatments that make my routine easy breezy. Also, I like the packaging. It’ll look nice left out on the counter. I also think it’s neutral aesthetic will make it great gifts for some of the men in my life who want good skincare without advertising it in their bathrooms lol. Oh, and I appreciate that she hasn’t over sold it. The descriptions talk about improvement over time. She’s not promising the fountain of youth or results we know only come from high priced procedures and treatments.
I've been using the moisturizer and it is fantastic!! The best feeling texture, amazing application, zero pilling underneath my makeup, layers well, and delivers on the hydration. I never buy celebrity brands but felt compelled to give this one a go, and I'm so pleasantly surprised! Thank you for this review :D
I held off on buying this to wait for the reviews and you’re right, she def hit the right influencers for her PR cuz all my trusted skinfluencers are reviewing! Thanks for your honest feedback, I’m def buying the next launch
As far as celebrity skincare lines go, I feel pretty good about Hailey's. A few years ago I began experiencing irritated skin and came across an article where she spoke about her issues with perioral dermatitis, so I feel like it just makes sense that her line would be simple and beneficial for the skin barrier. This comes across as something she genuinely believes in instead of being slapped together to simply sell a product. I also appreciate that her line is fragrance-free, as like many others I have a sensitivity to fragrance and it's nice to feel included lol. This was a great review though and I'll definitely be checking this line out!
She's definitely 1 of the celebs that I feel knows more about skincare more than most celebrities. Her routine and attitude to skincare are both really good. It all feels authentic
It’s interesting to see the feedback. I’m kinda biased towards Rihanna, but I wasn’t interested in any of her Fenty skin products because I already had my routine set. Having said that, I think Rhode as a brand is quite comparable, and taking away the celebrities behind both brands, I would actually lean more towards buying Rhode skincare. It’s just interesting to me to see the feedback from Rhode could easily be applied to Fenty skin, but because of the celebrity attached to each brand, from my perspective, it seems like Rhode is getting more negative feedback than when Fenty skin initially launched. Just my thoughts and opinions, I don’t think I’ll spend money on either brand, but it’s all interesting to observe as a consumer 🥰
I’m so confused about the love Fenty is getting. Everyone is obsessed with her highlighters for example but it’s just glitter, like makeup for primary school kids, who is doing their makeup like that, as if you’re going to a ballet recital 😅
At first I was thinking “oh gawd another product line with shea butter and squalene” 🙄 Then I read the ingredient list, and it has some really great ingredients in it! I love products that have Xylitol, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxlitol, and hyaluronate in it. Glow Recipe has these same star ingredients in them, which is why I love those so much. So I bet I would love this product line too. I bet it feels similar in texture, and similar results as Glow Recipe. Now I wanna try it
I think celebrity skincare has earned its reputation for being cash grabby for a reason. I haven't tried the products, but from listening to your review I think they set out to make good skincare and it just accidently happens to be a celebrity brand. I am interested in trying it out though especially the lip products in my continued battle against my lips.
James Welsh coming in hot with the truth and only the truth!!! I respect his honesty on the glaze and barrier cream! I agree the pictures and ads made the glaze look super dewy and glossy, which is fine, nothing wrong with that. But I appreciate the honesty of the barrier cream! I haven’t tried that yet! Going to buy a tube of it now. “Can we just get 10 more ml please 🤣”
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw what she launched with. It's also good to see a brand, that I'm guessing will appeal to younger people too, focusing on barrier repair/protection as opposed to hectic acids etc
Appreciate your review, James! I don't have any gripe about her putting this out. I think she's one of the few who actually puts effort into what she tried to put out. So hey, if it works, great lol. Kim's is a hot mess and I truly cannot stand her. 😬
As a Brazilian, I'd like to say that the way you said cupuaçu was absolutely butchered, but incredibly cute 🤣🤣💜💜 Ç sounds like SS, so you say it like "cupuassu"
i was kinda hesitant about the hype this brand was getting but after seeing the formulations, ingredients, and even reasonable prices!!! i’m in shock tbh and would totally buy from this launch
I read in Forbes that the dermatologist behind Rhode is also behind Martha Stewart's upcoming skincare line. Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali is touted as a master formulator not just for these celebs but for other dermatologists.
great review!! my skin has been loving the products as well! i do wish the BRC had a bit more product, but i’ll definitely be purchasing again. and it says on their website that a cleanser will be coming, so i’m excited for that! i also love their recycling system :))
would love to hear your thoughts on the lack of editorial in the skincare space, along with your favourite campaign images maybe? i never really paid attention to this until you mentioned it!
As someone who just started my Tretinoin & Hydroquinone journey, I’m always looking for gentle hydrating products that will protect and repair my skin barrier, from the abuse my skin feels like it’s been undergoing lately. So thank youuu so much for reviewing this line, the moisturizer sounds amazing and the lip-balm too. I already have a healing serum I love from Paula’s Choice, but Rhode is now definitely on my radar! ✨🙏🏽🌸✨
I think the packaging is awesome. I'm 36 so sparkly, eye-popping, and colourful packaging doesn't appeal to me. I am biased because I LOVE all things and shades of gray, but, not to mention, it's aesthetically pleasing. These products would look great displayed on a modern bathroom countertop or in a glass shelving unit. It's very modern and I'm just smitten. Funny, too, because earlier I was looking at my Paula's Choice products next to my sink and I thought to myself, "I wish these bottles were all the same colour. It would look more uniform." That's why, unfortunately, I keep them tucked away. The Ordinary is really the only thing I leave out.... And there's a clear reason why. So, two thumbs up from me!
While I love sparkly, cutesy stuff, I so get the thing for same colored stuff. I like clean cute. No childish scribbles. Clean cute. One color with a small bow on top, maybe sakura bloom design, the kinda minimalist cute. I really appreciate that the packaging is more "unisex". I think what we struggle with when it comes to skincare is that a lot of facemasks, a lot of packagings are targetted towards women by being feminine-looking yk. A lot of soft colors too, packaging that is often times not As practical too. I think, ofc, we need that on the market for idiots like me, but a more neutral packaging is a good way to introduce more less-feminine presenting people to skincare, heck ik my tomboy self struggled bcs I HATED girly stuff (a lot of misogyny in me at the time.)
I freaking love the hailey’s peptide lip product. I had not have dried flaky lip since using it! ❤️❤️ will continue to purchase it! Love the salted caramle
Thank you for the review! I’ve been using it since it launched and I definitely wish they came in a larger size. I love it! I’ll be stocking up when it comes back in stock!
A cash grab?!? Do we really think Hailey BIEBER is out for money? C'mon. It's pretty obvious that she's a skincare enthusiast, and, thus, more likely thought her money, influence, connections, and status could aid the development of an effective skincare brand for the public.
I'm so glad I found you cause honestly I get Hella info that I'm looking for from you and the brands u try & let us know ur honesty option thank u so much
I totally agree we should be putting any new random skincare brand under the same scrutiny that we do Influencer brands when it comes to who is behind the product, who is making the product, why they were interested in skincare/ beauty etc. We need to question brands more in general in order to see progress in the industry to more sustainable sourcing, packaging, and authentic marketing and branding! I have so many products in my lineup that I probably won't be trying this line, maybe I'll try the lip product in the future though!
I am glad you said it gives a dewy look. The 'glazed' wording was putting me off a little. As a 43 year old I love hydrating products and if this does that and protect the skin barrier it maybe worth looking into.
I am not into the marketing but after your review I definitely do want to try a product or 2 from this line when they're available again. I love your reviews! Always so informed and unbiased!
People say “celebrities brands are a cash grab” 🤣 so is every other brand . It’s to make money . I don’t mind it , as long as the brand doesn’t comes from nowhere and the products don’t sustain their claims.
Honestly, her brand sounds interesting. I know the internet loves to hate on celebrity brands, but I think they’re forgetting that at the end of the day, it’s just a business. About the packaging, it would’ve looked fine, but there’s just something about white on grey that I hate and something about the font and the size that makes the design look off and unbalanced. I know it’s such a trivial complaint, but it really throws me off. I thought the product shots looked beautiful though. A lot of Western brands all subscribe to the same style of photos and use tiktok videos nowadays. Rhode has a unique quality to it that makes it stand out and not feel like a celebrity brand.
On a more serious note, I feel like in any creative industry (which I would put skincare in the creative industry) you'll get a group of people who don't understand how the entire concept of a business is to make money. The startup cost needs a return on it, and as long as you aren't lying to or manipulating your customer base (or employees), people have the freedom to buy it or not. If someone is to go as far to say something is a cash grab, they should at least have experienced the product or gotten that info from another trusted individual, not just their first gut-reaction.
Cupuaçu, Babassu and açaí are all brazilian ingredients very common for us. So I’m glad Hailey included them in her products, since she’s half brazilian.
I feel like there are two primary differences between Rhode Skin and SKKN. First, in their skincare routine videos, Hailey actually knew what the fuck she was talking about while Kim spouted a ton of nonsense. Second, Hailey hasn’t already launched product lines in nearly every vertical like Kim has.
According to those in the know, Cupuacu smells like a cross between chocolate & pineapple, & tastes like pear mixed with banana. The pulp is rich in fatty materials (similar to cocoa butter) that make it an excellent moisturizer.
I think apart from the other celebrity this one will be a huge success in sephora coz the ingredients are so good even i want to buy that serum coz it is very affordable... hailey take my money... you won this!
It seems as though we are slowly but surely developing a litmus test for who is “worthy” of creating products or developing a brand. It’s almost like if you’re not sufficiently financially insecure and you don’t love skin care or makeup enough or in the right way, you need to have a seat and do nothing because some invisible force has deemed you fake and unworthy. How does that make sense? Who are any of us to say when someone’s intentions are pure enough or their pockets are shallow enough so they can be allowed into the game? Firstly, you would have to be a mind reader to know anyone’s real intentions about anything, and none of us are. Secondly, unless a person is committing a fraud or in some other way harming others with their products, let them live their best lives and let the market decide. If they create great products, it’s a win for all of us. But who made any of us the arbiters of who should have the opportunity to create and who shouldn’t? It’s giving gatekeeper vibes to me.
Completely true, but you are clearly not that type of person. When people are bitter and not succeeding themselves, they will just bash others, finding something to criticize, and don't know how to wish success and life fulfillment for others. If women like that put that much energy into bettering themselves rather than being nasty to others being angry at others success and happiness, they might actually be better people who can find their own success and fulfillment in their own lives. It just shows the world who they are, not saying anything about the celeb they bash, but most aren't aware enough to realize that.
I just can't agree with your take more. I haven't tried the products (sold out- on the wait list) but deep dived on the company and website and I am honestly looking forward to trying these products. Some people are hating on the brand because it's a celebrity thing- ok fine. But if the products are good and affordable basics, and they have a really nice give back promise- well it sounds good to me. Plus Hailee's skin really is BEAUTIFUL, and she has shared a lot about her skincare efforts for quite some time. Love it.
First off Hailey… should be thanking this man!!! LOL I have used the Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster for a few years now…I think peptides are amazing all depending on formulation of course… the Paula’s choice chefs kiss. Hmm can’t wait to try Rhode…at least the lip product!
I have the BRC (moisturizer) and it’s so nourishing yet not heavy. Very spa like without being pretentious or something it isn’t, you know? I knew you’d tell it like it is. Like can we just appreciate the woman’s skincare line since it’s BOMB?
I won’t be buying her skincare -at least until I’ve finished what I have lol - but I’ve always thought Hailey has a good knowledge about it and it isn’t just your typical celebrity launch. The lawsuit is unfortunate and I do hope it gets sorted out.
my understanding of the lawsuit situation is that it is a bit more nuanced than it being the same name in two different categories. I could be wrong, but I believe that Hailey and her team reached out to the rhode clothing company in an attempt to purchase their trademark, because of the possibility of someday extending the Rhode brand. Despite them saying no she pushed ahead with her brand, which is where i think the issue is arising. Because it seems like she isn't planning on stopping at skincare. Seems pretty fishy to me, and this isn't the first time that a celebrity has felt entitled to something despite all signs pointing to no....But who knows???
Love your honesty James I feel the same, I by no means am a fan of Hailey B, however I do believe she is very passionate about skincare and if her products are good and work on my skin type I will definitely use them
Thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful review ❤️ I would definitely consider picking up some of these items, especially the barrier restoring cream.
The Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid reminds me of Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum, both are serums with peptide, Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, so, if someone confirms Rhodes serum to better than that of P&L as a dope, I’d certainly buy it as an alternative cause of it being cheaper and, it contains more product
Thanks James, if I hadn't watched your video I probably would've ignored this brand tbh. I'm kinda tired of celeb skincare launches, I don't think they're aimed at an old bird like me anyway, but I'm always on the lookout for an effective moisturiser and this one looks nice so I'll probably give it a go when it becomes available in the UK.
I think peptide products are not that plenty, atleast not in several places and in various price ranges. So this launch kinda makes sense to make sense of peptides and maybe encourages others to do more research idk. Whether having peptides in a product is enough or does it need some more ingredients, if it's sticky etc. I kinda like this launch /.\
I always love hearing your thoughts and opinions! Your reviews are never biased- you always look at the products themselves not the face behind them which I really appreciate- plus you’re always HONEST which is so important! And I totally agree that Kim Kardashian’s 9 step skincare line is a bit outdated when it comes to skincare compared to how this brand has products & ingredients that are popular at this moment in time so in my opinion, Rhode makes more sense in that regard. Thank you James for another amazing review on this brand! 🙌🏻I always look forward to your brand reviews and product reviews. Love you! 🫶🏻💜🖤
If you watch her RUclips channel, you can see that she is very knowledgable about skin care and she does a ton of research into all the different ingredients. I think that she put a lot of time and thought and effort into her skin care line as opposed to someone like Kim K.
I imagine that it’s quite difficult for a. ‘Celebrity’ to bring out a brand , mainly due to people either liking you or not liking you. The media/magazines etc bring out so many made up articles and people stage photo shoots by letting the media take pictures of them at certain places. I find it fascinating just how much power over people the media has, people actually believe what they say, it’s made up to sell papers. You’d think people would actually have figured this out by now by now. Then they see things on social media and believe everything that’s just pure speculation and gossip, I don’t understand why you’d want to get court up in the gossip, just follow people who are intelligent enough to really do their research, using an honest, trustworthy information, so you can make your own conclusions based on facts not gossip. I only follow people that I trust to be truthful, especially when reviewing items, otherwise what’s the point in wasting my time when they love everything that they’re being sponsored by,, every time?
I had figured she was actually interested in skincare and it wasn’t just a cash grab, but I think I’m just underwhelmed? desensitized? by all the releases lately. I’m just not interested and a lot of the marketing/packaging is so boring.
I agree with you on the advertising, I don’t mind the aesthetic. I think so many brands show products swiped on a face or dotted on their hand, they don’t actually stand out. What I mind are overly edited photos of the products in marketing materials. I doubt that the models (their skin) is that perfect with the products. I want real after and before photos in natural light - studio lighting is too harsh and blurs the look of pores, texture and lines.
If you just go through the website you’ll see real life, non photoshopped images of real people using the products with before and after comparisons. All the information is right there.
@@rhodedrew8033 the photos on the website only show one person in the “real results” section at day 1 vs day 30. Images don’t seem retouched and that they were taken in natural light but the up-close framing of the face in the photos (a cell-phone image, most likely) doesn’t help me to see the overall improvement, just the way in looks in one part of their face. Another thing that makes me wonder if there’s been editing done is the hue of the images, some look much warmer and darker and others look lighter and less saturated… then again, if it’s natural light there’s only so much that can be done to control that. I want to see more photos of people who used it in the study, different skin tones.
@@danicee Oh you’re doing too much then girl it’s been 3 weeks since it launched. Maybe wait for more progress reviews from people and buy it down the line. Maybe 3-6 months after launch. You can continue to use the products you use now. The ones that have the studies you’re looking for. Don’t know a lot of brands that did before and afters. And so I appreciate Rhode for doing that. But if you’re looking at hues and device used, flash and face sections, then girl, I guess they can’t please everyone maybe just wait it out 🤷🏾♀️
@@rhodedrew8033 As someone with a marketing degree and a background in photography, the fact that they had over 30 people try the products prior to launch should be enough. I trust James' input regarding his experience with this line so far, and I think his understanding of formulation and how it has worked for him would mean it could work for me, as well, but I only am interested in products I need to restock in my routine atm. I don't seek results after 6 months of use because seasons change as well as habits such as diet, stress and hormones so 30 days is more than enough. If they're not 100% honest with marketing images it's just one less thing for me to try & that's fine.
@@danicee Great! Glad you’ve made that informed decision! If not, just skip it all together, I bet both parties won’t lose sleep for that reason. Best wishes.

@@adriennem7927 her products actually amazing.. There are namy people who hates her so There is a possibility of lies
The only review we need for Rhode
Agreed!
Trueeeeee
Def the only review *I* needed
I know right.
100%
Hailey has been saying for years that her and her mum wanted to make a skincare line because they’re really passionate about it but she wanted to be educated first and do it right. I saw this in many interviews from up to 4 years ago! Definitely not an overnight cash grab or hopping on a trend x
Hailey actually took classes & did research during the pandemic simply because she loves skincare that much. I think that actually says a lot, she didn’t just get a bunch of people & slap her name on a product. I think she had a lot of heart with the brand & wants people to have great skin.
Agreed
Exactly! And yet still people hate on her for doing a skin care brand while other celebrities don’t even give a shit about skin care, yet still do one and then get hyped for it
Boring brand
I feel like hailey bieber seems like a generally very nice person i just like her and the brand really fits her. The kinda simple clean girl brand. And i think she deserves a chance. Fenty did well, rare beauty did well maybe rhode is next
Rare and Fenty are mainly makeup…. Can’t compare . It’s just because celebs make it …. Ya Fenty has a couple skincare products (that arent great imo) but I get the feeling Rhode will be skin care based …
@@rosemartin4398 actually I love fenty beauty's fat water. I cant talk about their other products. I use it under sunscreen (pretty humid and hot here)
She does seem like a sweet person. Idk her obv but she comes off nice.

@@amila_ look her up 😂😂 not nice.
what I love is she said all their products will be under 30 dollars to make it more accessible to more people.
If they're not specifically declaring it as sustainable/fair trade, it's probably definitely not.
@@ermyr7743 There's a lot on their website, they didn't mention it doesn't mean it isn't, with time you'll know so don't be quick to condemn
Glad you enjoyed it!
I feel like launching 3 products will help new launches stay hype... a couple products is a lot more interesting and reviewable than a massive line
As a celebrity she is into skincare more than others. I trust her more than any other celebrity. I can’t wait to try her skin care line.
I would rather try Hailey Bieber’s than Brad Pitt’s line lol
Came for James shading the brand, left with him shading a whole lot more people 🤣 I'm into it
End of the video: I might pick up the cream once I finish up my current one. Color me surprised.
🤣🤣🤣
I agree
The way trademark law is in the US, a company is required to defend their trademark or they could lose it.

Looool 60ml and it would’ve been perfect! Let me know how you like the cream!

I don’t follow celebrities but this lineup is 100 percent up my ally! I’m on the waitlist.
i was kinda hesitant about the hype this brand was getting but after seeing the formulations, ingredients, and even reasonable prices!!! i’m in shock tbh and would totally buy from this launch

It would look more uniform."
That's why, unfortunately, I keep them tucked away.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REVIEW FOR DAYS 😍
A cash grab?!?
Do we really think Hailey BIEBER is out for money?
C'mon.
It's pretty obvious that she's a skincare enthusiast, and, thus, more likely thought her money, influence, connections, and status could aid the development of an effective skincare brand for the public.
Girl watch the video before you get offended
Not a problem if she was doing it for the money. Is she supposed to give it away? But, it was a favorable review.
EVERYBODY IS OUT FOR MONEY LOL yes even Hailey and that’s ok. You can create quality products and still want money.
Ok this review is all I need to finalize my decision. I’m buying all three products 😎
Let me know what you thinnnnnk
I was hoping you would cover this!!!!! Thank you!! Have a lovely day guys!
According to those in the know, Cupuacu smells like a cross between chocolate & pineapple, & tastes like pear mixed with banana. The pulp is rich in fatty materials (similar to cocoa butter) that make it an excellent moisturizer.
It's absolutely delicious, I LOVE cupuaçu ice cream!! It has a lot of health benefits as well :)
@@gabriellefavero It sounds UH-mazing!
That new intro song is everything!!!! Yass, love the beat boo xo
I was really interested in buying this line. You’ve now confirmed it for me. Thank you
Wow one of your favorite lip treatments??! Such a compliment as that’s saying an awful lot coming from you. Can’t wait to try!! 💜💜
Love it.
Problem with peptides for collagen and anti aging, they can’t be mixed with either retinol or vitamin C
I trust her. Don't know why, but I do 🤷🏼♀️
I have the BRC (moisturizer) and it’s so nourishing yet not heavy.
I have only tried the lip treatment and I couldn’t agree more, this thing stays for hours! And makes your lip feel hydrated for a long time
Cupuaçu, babaçu and açaí are brazilian plants. They are used here by "natural brands". I love how they want to pass this clean product image.
Love your honesty James
I feel the same, I by no means am a fan of Hailey B, however I do believe she is very passionate about skincare and if her products are good and work on my skin type I will definitely use them
Thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful review ❤️ I would definitely consider picking up some of these items, especially the barrier restoring cream.
I actually like the packaging. Same with Kim Kardashians new skincare line. I don't need loud packaging, I like more simple packaging
Kim k’s packaging is so nice! Literally want my bathroom in those colours and textures lol
@@JamesWelsh yeah I really like it, I've been considering picking up one or two products 🤔
James, your skin looks extra amazing in this video!! 😍
Yeah I feel like it’s not over done…yet haha
Omg I’m sooo interested to try the moisturizer now! Was thinking about it & now I’ll give it a try

Super interested for the Kim review!
I hope Rhode adds a sunscreen to their line like Rhianna's HydraVizor.
Also, Marula oil feels like a drunk elephant backstab and I LOVE it😂❤️
The only review that truly matters. IMO. . . . . I respect your opinion so much James! 😎
James you look fantastic! Your skin looks so flawless and I love this colour on you, very contemporary! X
James I love your nails!!!!!! I want to see them up close lol 😆😊 ( I paused this video so much to see clearly 😅)
If you’d like more information on the process they used as well as their marketing strategies, and the negatives of the film/photographs or maybe the address of the people that tried the products just so you can be sure they were “100% honest” with you Dani, maybe you can send them an email with your certifications and degrees.
If not, just skip it all together, I bet both parties won’t lose sleep for that reason.
Best wishes.
patiently waiting for Rhode to come to the UK! the moisturizer seems intriguing.
I think we all need a series of celebrity skin care reviews… starting with Jeffree Star skin and then SKKN…..
Love ur review no bias. I love rhode after using it, my skin is better than ever, plump, healthy and glowing. My scars gradually disappear.. Out of topic have u seen Hailey Bieber video explanation about her healthscare on her youtube entitled "telling my story". She do have that charismatic persona and u want her to talk forever because she has that voice imo. What u think?
Is it just me or did James seem extra passionate in his intro?
"..... because perfection. doesn't. exist!" Roar!
I was wanting to buy these products because of their great marketing - so glad they hold up as effective products too 😍
Her lip treatment in caramel is awesome!!!
i bought the peptide glazing fluid and i love it tbh
