My 2012 Impreza has 241,238 miles on it. No failure of anything but the catalytic converters. If properly maintained the Impreza is a fantastic car !

They totally forgot about horrible clutch, very tall gearing (manual transmission) Grossly underpower of the totally useless 2.0 non turbo.Where are the days of
the 2.5 Impreza with Great power and great 5sp transmission ? Shame on you SUBARU !!!!

Huh? I have the 2.0L manual and I've never had a problem with lack of power. I've never had to redline the engine (needing to hit redline is a pretty good indication that an engine doesn't have enough power).

@@shawn576It looks like you are a Novus in driving manual. My driving style is a lot more active then yours. I use my 5sp the way it meant to be used. Like i said before i can compare the 2.0 to the older 2.5 sadly been dropped .

I love my Subaru; I own a 2011 Subaru Impreza that was bought used and now has over 200+ miles and has zero serious mechanical issues, as it has been well maintained. I've been driving it halfway across the country. It's slow but very reliable and is surprisingly comfortable. However, in its older years, it does burn oil, but I just check and top it off every now and again.

I have the 2012 impreza 2.0 premium madedJapan best car ever had, just over 100,000 does not burn a drop of oil, runs like a new car still.. Sounds like you're making a lot of this stuff up...

I have the same exact car, original owner, had the piston rings replaced very early on under recall, then around 40k or 50k a quick lube tech told me I was a full quart low after 5k miles I couldn't believe it, I was young and naive about cars then (still am), with the car currently at 120k it has been burning roughly a quart per 1000 miles for years now. I top off the oil weekly, or every other fill-up. still love the car, and that is cool that you got lucky and somehow avoided this issue but it is a widespread issue definitely not made up. cheers

He is not making stuff up. I own a 2013 Subaru and the oil light turns on every time I go on a road trip.

Had a 94 impreza 1.6 didn't burn anything BTW oil changes every 10,000km sold at 120000km or 80000mls. Thinking about buying 2913 2014 low kms

Subarus are obviously great when they’re new. It tend to have costly repairs and high maintenance costs because of dealerships supply/demand pricing. I know 8 Subaru owners and 6 of them Lease and change them within the warranty period. If you lease brand new then you will be a happy Subaru owner.
