Oh yeah...a trip to Jim's...he has so much knowledge and very thorough..especially explaining things...Hate to see Aidyn go but I wish him good luck..I believe we'll see him again for sure....actually he seems to have interest in Jim's ole truck lawn ornament...they say if you see a cardinal it's a loved one from above lookin in on ya...cya tomorrow...im sure Jim will have his Ferrari figured out...
it's always fun hearing Jim talking how he's solving problems but always getting them solved on his own unique way, having a lot knowledge of the old cars he owns, great video again, thanks for sharing
Best Jim-ism ever. "This car doesn't run because of my skill or expertise. It drives because it decides it let's me." LOL too funny because man, THAT's so true. They do that.
I own 2 air-cooled 911s. Absolutely reliable. Commuted back and forth to work for years in my 79' Targa and it was totally dependable. I could get in either one and drive across country with confidence. I test drove a 308 at Kompact Kar Korner back in 89' and it stranded us on Aurora Ave.
Jim Jim Jim we can't have you having issues with the Ferrari now thats not right ! I'm not a mechanic nor a Ferrari mechanic I'd be dang lost even trying to suggest anything ! From just a fire and fuel setup will still get you into trouble . Does it have a cad system ? Plug in to do a diagnostic on the wiring . Just a thought . You probably have tried that already . It's over my head plus it's got to many sensors for my liking . Truly hope you get it sorted Jim. Thumbs-up Jolene and Chad and Aidyn AND JIM 👍 Tell ya what though I'm no good as a mechanic but I can build a sweet mouse trap that works evertime . Outside of replacing the wiring harness and all the sensors. If you go that far replace the battery and alternator to. It may be your only choice. But your a fighter you'll run all senerios before you jump ! Great content 👍!
I can't imagine the reading and research Jim has had to do to be able to troubleshoot the problems with building and maintaining this car! Very smart man in my opinion!
I read on line that the plastic fuse panel in the older ferrari can begin to fail as the plastic gets brittle with age. Jonathan Byrd known as Bird Man, makes an excellent replacement pannel. I put one in my 80 308. It solved several issues.
Going to miss Aidyn. You need to get someone to help with getting stuff done. Lovely to see Gentleman Jim again. Good work Jolene and Chad. All the best from Southern Ireland.
On the topic of electrical: I will share something I found that solved a nasty electrical problem - in my case with electric fuel injectors. There were 2 dissimilar metals where the wiring harness plugged onto the injectors, and this causes CORROSION . I got electrical cleaner, and even fine sandpaper to polish all the contacts.... all better. just a thought.
I hope Jim wants to brush the car! Jaidan have a great school year, hope to see you again, Chad seems like a good teacher. Nice hearing your voice too Jolene behind the camera. Have a great day everyone!
Jim is like an open book ,Aidyn staring at a potential project , a happy laughter of your wife like an approval for your new haircut, I'm not sad ,I see a verry good student becoming a master.
Jim is great viewing, possibly the most self-absorbed individual I've ever seen, but great craic! The hammers " so you had them when you were born?" Very funny Chad! Good luck to Aidyn. PS. Mountain Ash? I *think* we call that a Rowan Tree here in Ireland. Keep goin' folks! Boomtime!
Clean cut hair looks good on ya Champ. I shaved mine about 20 years ago haven't looked back since. Think of all the money and time spent all those years at the barbershop. C ya next summer Aiden. 👍😉✌
It takes a lot of patience to repair this Ferrari Mondial. Luckily it is from 1987, because the first versions were even worse, especially with the electrical system... Keep it up guys, 👍 and enjoy your meal. 😉 Greetings from Switzerland
I wish the best for you, Aidyn, as you return to school. This summer has flown by with you helping on the shop projects. Hopefully you will be able to return and continue giving Chad and Jolene a hand.
Steering wheel looks good in the Oldsmobile. Be nice to see what kind of paint job Jim can do. Sad for this to be Aidyns last day. I'm sure Chad and Jolene will keep up with him.
Well played this video to watch it and Chad, then Jim but I was watching and Jimbo electrical stuff and wiring and the a hammer, well a body hammer is a hammer you put in your hand and you apply force and collision of the hammer to the body of a vehicle or well actually you can use it to staighten a variety of metals and then you can buy fabric and fold it but leather you want to roll up like carpet or you'll have seems,if eat food the technique to eating food is picking it up with your fingers as if you use your hand you may mess up the food, but a lot of people use silverware and place the food in there mouth then but down and then remove the silverware without biting down on it but holding the food from coming out of there mouth butta silver is what these eating devises use to be be made of butta then they started silver platting metal or making them of stainless steel but those.
sorry to hear it Jim car problems are a bummer :\ I guess everybody has heard vintage Ferraris require routine maintenance it's the nature of classic sports cars. Jim is the man for the job he'll figure it out 😎
Would be cool to see Jim's barn . With a nice floor . Would make his projects a lot better for him . He is a interesting fellow . Thanks Chad and Jolene
What this world needs is more people like Jim ! Thanks for sharing. And good luck to Aidyn.🤗
I enjoy watching Aidyn learning and growing his interests. Even if he goes another direction in life, he is a great young man!
I have faith in Jim. He'll figure it out!

Best Jim-ism ever. "This car doesn't run because of my skill or expertise. It drives because it decides it let's me." LOL too funny because man, THAT's so true. They do that.

Clean cut hair looks good on ya Champ. I shaved mine about 20 years ago haven't looked back since. Think of all the money and time spent all those years at the barbershop. C ya next summer Aiden. 👍😉✌
Jim's steering wheel would make a nice car colour too. Elvis?
New haircut looking fresh!!!
Chad , Jolene, buy that old truck outside, and build a pick-up roadster from it! Would be nice.
Jimbo is like a young Doc Brown building a time machine out of a Ferrari!
Howdy, hope it ends well for Jim’s sake, could be expensive

Steering wheel looks good in the Oldsmobile. Be nice to see what kind of paint job Jim can do. Sad for this to be Aidyns last day. I'm sure Chad and Jolene will keep up with him.
Could be a faulty ignition switch. Some vehicles sent micro voltage to subsystems through that switch.
Haircut looks good
Im happy that ya play with pre computer run cars, that kinda electrical issues are the worst.
I like the ground idea, if you had a short, positive to the ground, could it not affect everything
sorry to hear it Jim car problems are a bummer :\ I guess everybody has heard vintage Ferraris require routine maintenance it's the nature of classic sports cars. Jim is the man for the job he'll figure it out 😎
Jimbo is the man
It probably just needs a qualified Ferrari mechanic. And a good bath. Thats too fancy
Would be cool to see Jim's barn . With a nice floor . Would make his projects a lot better for him . He is a interesting fellow . Thanks Chad and Jolene
