- We are building our own house in Norway!
In 2018 we bought a plot in Oslo and we are now starting the construction of our house. Since we are both architects we have designed everything ourselves.

You do a very good job of describing building materials in English, my wife would have a difficult time explaining what many items are in the construction of a home and English is her first language.
Awww! Thank you for saying that. As an architect I know all the materials but because I work mostly in Norwegian there are many technical words I don’t know in English 😅

Just a little help with the terms in English: isolation is being by yourself; insulation is what goes in between the walls to keep the house warm. It’s been great following your build. I look forward to each new video for your Hjem project.

But of course nobody is more excited than you two. 🙂 I really like this series of your videos because it brings an insight into how the houses are built in Norway. I assume that this is a standard way of how it is done there. Can't wait for the nex video. 🙂
