I got a shiver which tells me I love it.
Superb Cover
Jim Mullen & Dick Morrissey (sadly missed) are the innovators of British Jazz/Soul, Jazz/Funk.
Bluey needs to get Carol Kenyon to guest (Absolutely Beautiful)
Was damn lucky to be able to have caught Morrisey Mullen live back in the 80's in a small club where we convinced one of our mates (the club owner's son 😉) to host a Jazz-funk night. As the co-DJ for these nights, had a lot of imput, so apart from MM, we also hosted Shakatak and even Dutch outfit Blue Feather, who were promoting their huge single "Let's Funk Tonight". I remember talking to MM later, but was mesmerized by Dick's seriously old, weather beaten and seriously cool Sax. He even let me handle it.Fab musicians, and well done Bluey for continuing to carry the "flame".
What was the name of the club?
@@JazzFunkNobby1964 The venue was usually a night-club. In fact, some years previously, i had a weekend job as a glass collector, and Bonnie Tyler was the resident singer there (Gaynor = stage name at the time was Shereen). Anyway, boss's son was a mate and also into Jazz-funk, so we persuaded him to put on a regular Jazz-funk night. Among the other artists to perform there, were Shakatak & Blue Feather (let's funk tonight). The club was called Baron's. Cheers!

Fantastici!!!
WOW!!! I loved the original LLS version but you guys have taken it to another level. Keep doing this with absolute classics that are seemingly too good to cover...with the talent in your band you can cover anything :-)
Good version.
