There is nothing that could be more evocative of the deeply felt love for the land. As the composition begins, the first rain drops fall gently but gather power as they form rivulets, then streams, now strong torrents of rushing water, and finally confluence in the mighty Vltava River itself that runs through the heart of Czechoslovakia and nourishes all of its people. The Shelests play from their hearts, together, as they plumb their unfathomably deep love of their own land and as we well recall that this banned immortal masterpiece was played in resistance to the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia.

Further, I must say, IMHO, that it is highly unlikely that Smetana’s magnum opus has ever “flowed” more sweetly, with greater power, more mesmerizing virtuosity, or more passionate embrace than with your own, SIMPLY ASTOUNDING, magic.💞

This piece is very difficut to play. The best interpretation I've heard so far. Calm and steady. And it "flows" well. Kudos.
thank you, it is one of those pieces that comes together over time, the flow of it is difficult but that melody is sure worth it!

this is Smetana's arrangement, I think there is a solo one but not by him. I would check out IMSLP library for it under the arrangements section
