Yikes, that old adapter does have a very high noise floor. The new adapter is much better. It also sounds more open to me. Better clarity. I agree with you about Deity having a place in the market. Like the Zoom F series and Sound Devices MixPre series, they are better than we deserve for the price but then... quality has been increasing tremendously while prices are relatively low. Deity is by no means a perfect company but they do innovate a lot, offer a lot of features and have good quality available at prosumer pricing.
