Restricting one's self to a particular genre of music (or anything really) is a naive and narrow minded viewpoint that deprives you of learning and growing your horizons. Life is all about how we experience the world around us and if you shut out portions of it you will miss out on so much you never knew existed. No one style or genre of music is better than any other and we owe it to ourselves to try different things, consider different perspectives of viewpoints, open our ears to music we've haven't heard before. I commend you on doing reaction videos covering different types of music.
@@TheOrlandoTrustfullIt was Malcom and Angus's sister who suggested he wear it on stage as he used to practice with the older boys straight after school. She also suggested the band name
Bon Scott passed away very shortly after the release of "highway to hell'. that album was the one that put them on the global hit list. fans, critics, even the band themselves wondered if they could continue. Bon had told the band, "if anything happens......, check this guy out". they did, and less than six months later, they released "back in black". the back meaning they would not quit, and the black meaning mourning and honoring their fallen bandmate. the rest was and still is history. legends they are!
Yeah, they came to Brian with the lyrics “Back in black” and the beat and nothing else. They wanted the song to be about Bon Scott, but “it can’t be morbid”. So the song turned into something with multiple resurrection or escaping death references, which was more of a metaphor for the surviving band members than for Mr. Scott.
AC/DC and Queen the two rock groups EVERYONE knows, whether they're aware of it or not. But they may not know the name of the bands playing them but they know songs. Queen especially always gets a "Oh man, that was them!" reaction from people who say they've never heard Queen. 😂
1980 this album came out. It was the biggest selling album in America that year (80). It was also the comeback album of the new lead singer Brian Johnson (Bon Scott the original singer died) and it went ballistic globally. They are an Australian band.
TNT Dirty Deeds Highway to Hell You Shook me all Night Long Shoot to Thrill A Shot in the Dark Let There Be Rock Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution Hell's Bells Thunderstruck (also the 2 Cellos rendition)
Came out in 1981. I was lucky enough to see these guys in Melbourne, Australia when they did the Back in Black tour for the album release. It was a night I’ll never forget. Was a great way to celebrate my 20th birthday. 🎸
Thunderstruck live from River plate is a must my friend. I seen them in 2003 in Toronto in front of 500,000 people and let me tell you the ground was literally shaking. It was reported that people for miles sat outside and listened too the 13 hour festival. Epic concert from AC/DC and many other amazing artists and bands that day❤
I'm 55 yrs old and I love seeing young people meet this group for the for the first time, wide eyed amazing these ol cats are still throwing down today. ❤ They are still 20 yrs older than me.
AC/DC according to a youtube interview with the lead guitarist Angus Young, (the dude in the schoolboy outfit), is a play on musical notation. it goes like this A, chord / C, chord D, chord / C. chord as played on a guitar.
So many people wrote them off after Bon Scott died, but they came back in a big way, .the title of both song / LP was spot-on--They were back in Black indeed. Atlantic Records CEO Ahmet Etregen advanced them big $$ to finish it. Company execs gave him grief for it, but had to shut the F up when it grabbed no 1 Billboard in 90 days after release, and won the Grammy for LP of the year. ( After that. They never hassled him about artist contracts/deals again.)
I went to see ACDC back in 1980 when this LP came out , sat in the last row but i did not care , it was a great concert ! never will forget it! and the only time i got to see them.
Get some zeppelin in your ears ❤️ since I've been loving you live is a heart stopper 😉 i saw AC/DC at Wembley on the black ice tour and they're phenomenal
I saw For Those About To Rock in 82, Fly On The Wall, and Blow Up Your Video. MAJOR drunkfests, all of them of which I was a part of lol! All during my twenties!
AC/DC is an electrical term. AC stands for alternating current and DC stands for direct current. Their sister is supposed to have seen this on her sewing machine and suggested the name.
the thing about this album was that it was the first one with brian johnson, and right after bon scott passing away, and this is one of their biggest albums ever
Angus calls this good ole toe tapping rock and roll! 😂 I believe this was written in tribute to Bon Scott, he passed yrs ago. Lead singer Brian Johnson stepped in. Very huge shoes to fill. Love this group. RIP sweet Malcolm (big guitar) and Bon.
Angus Young is the lead guitarist and his brother Malcolm is playing rhythm guitar RIP Malcolm. Brian Johnson is on lead vocals and this was his debut album with the band after the passing of the legendary Bon Scott (you need to check out the Bon Scott songs). This came out in 1980 and the Back In Black album is the second highest selling album of all time behind Michael Jackson's Thriller. I highly recommend reacting to live performances because that's what AC/DC are known for. High energy straight up rock n roll made for a good time. Just subscribed I need more of this lol awesome reaction!
AC/DC is about to announce their farewell tour! You will want to go after seeing them at River Plate. Also, Stairway to Heaven LIVE is vital. Better than the original that you heard. Maybe the best guitar solo ever recorded.
I'm in my 60s & listened to the Bon Scott led AC/DC through high school, then bought the Back on Black album in uni when Brian Johnson took over. They were always great to rock out to, hope if I make it to a nursing home in another 10 - 20 years that their music is playing instead of the usual pablum musak.
Rock music moves your body and soul. You can feel it. And that's why we love it!.. 68yr old here.. We enjoyed the *&%* outta that music and era. We didn't have to take guns to go to war at concerts.
I saw these guys open for a band called Moxy in 1977. It was both band's first American appearance. "Do you know why there is a Highway To Hell but only a Stairway To Heaven?" "Anticipated traffic". 🤣 Saw it on a T-shirt.
Thunderstruck Live at River Plate 2009 is a must! At that concert they were in their late 50s and/or early 60s and they rocked in Argentina! (Back in Black came out back in 1980)
Angus and Malcolm Young, Scottish and original singer also Scottish Bon Scott formed the band in Australia when they moved there. Brian Johnson, this lead singer achieved a very difficult job of continuing this amazing band
Yes, Highway to Hell is a good track (not about going to actual hell). Last album with Bonn Scott, and the newer singer on Back in Black is Brian Johnson. The lead guitarist is Angus Young, the other guitarist is his older brother Malcom. Other good songs are TNT, Whole Lotta Rosie, Dirty Deeds, Jailbreak (Bon Scott), You Shook Me All Night Long, Who Made Who, Let's Get It Up, Hard AS A Rock (Brian Johnson) and many more.
This is the title cut from the 1980 album of the same name. Brian Johnson - lead vocals, Angus Young - lead guitar, Malcolm Young - rhythm guitar & backing vocals, Cliff Williams - bass guitar & backing vocals, Phil Rudd - drums. They are from Australia and have been recording since the mid 1970s.
ACDC are an awesome band that just do one type of music - hard rock and roll (at least, that's what they say). I'd really recommend Thunderstruck and Whole Lotta Rosie - both live are incredible to watch :) This song was the title track to the album of the same name, and the first album released after the death of their original vocalist (Bon Scott), and it was such a fitting memorial album for him :) The track was released in 1980, and the band is the vocallist Brian Johnson, and the Young brothers (Angus on guitar dressed as a school boy, and Malcolm on rhythm guitar) - I can never remember the name of the bassist or the drummer, sorry!
Here is a list that you should try (in any order): -Let There be Rock - official video or Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon) -Whole Lotta Rosie (Live at River Plate) - (With Brian) -TNT (Live at River Plate) - (with Brian) -Riff Raff Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon) - The Jack Live at River Plate - (with Brian) - Its a Long Way to The Top (If you wanna Rock n Roll) - (with Bon) - Thunderstruck - Live at River Plate or Donington - (with Brian) -For Thouse About to Rock - Live at River Plate (is The Last song from the concert)
1980, Australian Band Singer Brian Johnsons (2nd Lead Memeber Bon Scott was first), Angus Young (Lead Guitar you asked about), Milcom Young (On that huge guitar), Pill Rudd (drums I think) and Cliff Williams (Bass)
Core of the band born in Scotland raised in oz. Brian is English and the perfect replacement for Bon. I've done some work for an AC/DC tribute band. They have 2 singers. One for Bon and one for Brian
There were three leadsingers for AC/DC. That's number TWO I think, Bob Evans now deceased. Brian Johnson is number THREE and did the Thunderstruck. In auditions to replac Evans the candidates had to do their best to emulate Evans vocal style. Johnson did it best.

This is their tribute album dedicated to Bon Scott, their lead singer who passed in feb,1980. Brian did excellent job filling very big shoes.
Absolutely, and he's been doing so for over 40 years., God bless him. 🙋♂
@@jeffstevens4262 and God Bless Bon for insisting on Brian replacing him if anything ever happened to him.
It was the best music decision right up until Prince fired Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis LOL
I go to Bon Fest every year in Kirriemuir Bon's birthplace, 3 weeks or less and we are there again great vibe
I do love Bon but Brian was the best "replacement" ever in rock n' roll history! Same feeling and attitude!🤘❤🤟
