    as a business owner, sure taxs cuts are fun for me, but there will be no wage increases due to that, or increased investment. trickle down Lizenomics are a fantasy.

    Come on Labour. Get Ed Miliband and Keir Starmer double act aka Blair/Brown. I'd vote for them in preference to what we have now.

    I know Labour put the UK into tremendous debt, and i know that while David Cameron made moves to start paying back that debt the world imploded and it's ended up soaring as it has i assume in most countries, so while it's easy for Labour to criticise this plan i'd love to see what they come up with considering their proven past. It's easy to say "our plan is better" when you don't actually then have to do it.

      It was derugulated banking that spaffed all the money up the wall.
      Too big to fail business plan where tax payer takes all the risk .

      You are lying. Labour was forced to borrow huge amounts of money when the bankers trashed the global economy in 2008. In 2010 the debt to GDP was 60pc. In 2019 after a decade of savage austerity the debt to GDP was around 90pc. The fact is Tory governments since 1945 have always borrowed more than Labour governments. Labour have a better record on paying down debt. The figures are there for all to see. Open your laptop and go to Richard Murphy. My advice is stop reading the Daily Mail or other lunatic right wing media. Everything worth having in the UK comes from the Labour movement. All social benefits were enacted by Labour administrations. After 40 years of neoliberalism the UK is broken The most unequal society in the developed world. Class ridden. Living standards not
      In the top 20. Poverty on a scale that was unthinkable in the 1960s. Huge increase in food banks that didn't exist in the 1960s. Soon 1930s conditions will return. That is the Tory legacy.

    It's not "trickle down"! The Tory party is not "right wing". Terribly weak questioning by the times radio host. Surely a more honest title would be Guardian Radio.

      I agree... the current government is not a right wing government... it has gone far further to the right than that. We now have an authoritarian government operating policies that actively redistribute wealth to the already rich.

    • @archieyarr9357
      @archieyarr9357 2 года назад

      The Tory party is not right wing? They’re a party who’s just passed a budget of tax cuts, deregulation, xenophobia and isolation. Those are right wing policies….
