War of the Worlds ... but it's told through Vines

  • 'Told Through Vines' returns! Being one of my favourite books, I had no choice but to put my own spin on this classic science-fiction novel by H.G Wells. Hope you enjoy!
Also, do yourselves a favor and go listen to the "War of the Worlds" 1978 musical album by Jeff Wayne. The Martian Apocalypse has never sounded so groovy.
Again, a big thank you to Overly Sarcastic Productions, who were a huge a source of inspiration to me for this series, and especially Red, who's Twitter shoutout has been the highlight of my year so far.
Also, shoutout to Max, who's Vine knowlege and insightful proofreading (proofwatching?) I am incredibly grateful for.
And of course, thanks to ALL OF YOU! Now, I probably just got lucky with the algorithm, but man, I never imagined my 'Frankenstein - Told Through Vines' would get the traction it did. I love reading all your funny and encouraging comments, especially in these weird times we're all living in. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
As for the next 'Told Through Vines' well, I won't reveal what it's gonna be just yet ... but as a clue, I WILL say that there's also a musical adaptation of it, so make of that what you will, hehe.
    Until next time!

Again, here are the original roughs for the project, if you wanna see them:

After I read To Kill a Mockingbird in high school, my English teacher put on the movie
When we got to the climax, the video began to lag.
Well lag makes it sound like it stopped and played normally
It would stop, then go super fast.
I think the audio was playing normally so the visuals had to play catch up?
I can’t remember what the audio was doing during this.
Either way, it was freaking hilarious.
I think the fact the playback broke during the most instead scene is what made it funny.
All the effort that was put into the scene was ruined.
And now whenever I think of To Kill a Mockingbird I think of that moment and giggle

Aww, thanks so much! Yes, I put a lot of love into this one, since it's a personal fav. Definitely give it a read!
The album was a very cool discovery as well; it's not 100% book accurate, but as a whole, it's a very cool experience. It's driven a lot more by the book's short snippets of narration and various spanning leitmotifs, but man, the songs are just incredibly groovable ... in an eerie, apocalyptic, late 70's synth way.

This BETTER get the same, or greater clout than the first vid. These are great!
